Remarks

Positives about college is that it has ample amount of exposure in various domains. One might feel that the curriculum is slow but one can easily learn everything. The placements are good and seniors and aumni are helpful. There are some negatives like Limited area of the campus, some useless subjects being taught and inflexible curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was sufficient for someone to learn all the basics for the branch. The faculties encouraged students for pursuing career in research. There was mandatory research based minor/major project one had to pursue. Labs were pretty chiiled but during exams, it depended on subjects. Some were chilled, while others were hectic.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are good specially for CSE/IT. A lot of companies visited for internships like Amazon, Microsoft, DEShaw, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, JPMorgan, Optum etc. Stipend offered was in the range of 30000 pm to 100000 pm. Along with that the placements were good where ctc ranged from 6 lpa to 32. 5 lpa.

College Events

4

3 main fests are there Eclectika, Aavartan and ESummit. Eclectika is the cultural festival, aavartan is the technical festival while E Summit is the management festival. All 3 are at grand level. A lot of students from different colleges come to participate here. It is typically spread over 2 to 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. For my batch it was 76500 per year which approximated to 3 lakh for 4 years. But now it has been increased to 1. 25 lakh per year. But there is a rebate of 67% if the family income of the student is less than 5 lakh per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

CSSS scheme by MHRD is a common scholarship availed by various students. Student gets 10000 per annum in it for the 1st 3 years. Then 20000 for the last year. Along with that, there are various scholarships offered by respective state governments.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is okay but not that good. There are different club parties given to club members. Along with that, there are welcome party fresher party and farewell party given to the students. A lot of workshops take place every now and then and there are facilities for playing in every sports. There is a sports festival samar which takes place every year. College is pretty chilled with the diversity. And there is no intolerance with respect to race, religion, ethnicity, gender etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors helped alot for literally everything. Be it passing a difficult subject or helping with placements, they help alot. Alumni support is also great and there are alumni meets happening now and then. Alumni also helped college with funding, mentoring existing students etc.

Admission

I cleared JEE Main on 2015. I had options for IT, Electronics and Mechanical Branch. I chose IT over others due to my interest in Programming. Admission process was based on the JEE Main ranking and only meritorious students were selected.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculties are good and are able to teach. But some subjects are being taught by temporary faculties which could have been avoided. Sometimes they lack the deep knowledge in the subject and thus are not able to teach up to the expectations.

The placement of our college pretty good for the higher branch like Cse , Ece , IT but for lower branches like ours is very low Only 5-10 students got placed last year from biotech . Whereas the placement percentage of Cse is around 90% . The highest package offered was 56 LPA , that is told us in Induction Program.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I chose this curriculum is because I've a keen interest in computer programming. The exams aren't really hard if you know the basics and the curriculum. The Faculties are well educated but low-key outdated. Speaking of curriculum, I feel like the curriculum is super outdated and needs to be changed.

Students are eligible to sit in campus placements after or during 3rd yr in btech. Intership guidance is also provided in 2nd yr onwards . Highest package of 2023 is 33 lpa with avg. Package of 5lpa. For branch like mechanical more than 90% students are placed. My plan is to take management minor in 2nd yr. And after graduation I will either go for MBA or first get placed and continue MBA while having a job.
