Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is up to the mark. It is made with focus of student requirements. Trainee teachers can have holistic development here. The exams are two kinds - 1. Continuos internal assessment (CIA) 2. Summative or final exams.
Placement Experience
Yes, the college provides an observation period for the trainee teacher in 2nd semester and an internship for 3 months during the 3rd semester in various reputed schools, like St. Xaviers collegiate school, La marteniere for girls, Auxilium convent School.
College Events
Our college is high on any kind of co-curricular activities. From celebration of Bhasa-diwas, peace seminar, national education day, women education seminar, convocation and validectory, sports day and what not. It also focuses on contributing towards the society by taking up noble projects like Vidyadeepam where the trainee teachers need to visit the underprivileged schools to teach first generation learners.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is extremely feasible. The fees for bachelor in teacher education i. e B. ed is approximately 70,000 for two year programme. The details of the fees are given and mentioned in website with clear indications.
Fees and Financial Aid
Don't know in specific. Students who get Educational scholarship or loan from anywhere outside the college deposit their cheques in treasurer's office of college 7days before the last date of payment of fees and get their payment updated manually.
Campus Life
Lab and sports ground along with a separate yoga room and indoor games room is well maintained. The gender ratio in b. ed is disbalanced It's 90:10 for girls:boys. They focus a lot on co curricular activities be it photography, dance, song, sports or anything.
Hostel Facilities
Haven't opt for hostel. But have heard that the facilities and the rooms are really good. Provide good food and the staffs seems helpful. Those who stay or are from different state other than kolkata they get the first preference for hostel .
Alumni/Alumna
The senior batches are extremely helpful and guide us for what to do in further project works, as well as during internships. They guide us with the kind of working models to be made and any kind of special instructions to be followed during internship days.
Admission
First a merit list comes out according to the marks obtained in 10th, 12th, graduation and post graduation (optional). Then most of them are called for an interview process which is based on subjective knowledge as well as general knowledge.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is highly qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them have done PhD. We are greatly influenced by the friendly yet not friend character of the teachers. , exactly what should be it like. It feels amazing to be a part of this fraternity.
