Remarks

Techno India University is wonderful college which provides every comfort and also a good Atmosphere for the development of a student in academic and extra curricular activities.teachers are great and a very good faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's really good and intresting.labs takes place 4days a week for ece.each lab contains all the necessary equipment for the understanding of that particular experiment.teachers are are really professional and the way they teach really makes things easy to understand.exams are of 100 marks where 60 marks is written and 40 is assignment class performance and attendance.

Placement Experience

Placement is fine in our college.many renowned companies came for place placement.first apptitude then technical round and atlast interview.if someone clears all the steps he/she gets the job so it's a easy process.companies like tcs, capgemini, windows, cognizant and many other companies came for placement.internshio opportunities are also great here.

There are many events that are celebrated in our college such as sports, cultural and technical fests.during March the technical fest is held called vivarta.people makes robots and do robo fights, innovative ideas are displayed and video games are being held in this fest.next comes cultural fest sahotsava.its a really good fest with lots of fun and enjoyment.and before the onset of winter sports meet is held called rudra.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is a little expensive.techno India University is a open University so people can take admission directly or through wbjee.fee is a little expensive here.for me it's around 79000 per semester and it may be more for upcoming students.but the college provides wonderful service in return.the main building central air conditioned and everything is clean and we'll maintained.

I didn't take any loan by there are some loan facilities offered by our college.a student can either take education loan from any bank or can ask college for it.scolarships are also available for students who have scored really good marks.

Campus Life

Sports are a important part in our college life.a well maintained ground is present in our college where students can play foot ball cricket and other outdoor activities.two sports event are arranged by our college sports club rudra.the inter college competition takes place in the month of November which is the main sports event and another intra college football event takes place during march.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior are really good in our college.ragging is strictly kept in check and seniors help in keeping peaceful balance with the juniors.they help us in every possible ways they can in our studies and in also other things.

Admission

I got thorough joint entrance rank.i went through a councelling process and got this college according to my rank but there are entrance exams as well it's an easy process.techno India University is a open University so people can take direct admission.

Faculty

Falculty of our college is really great.teachers are really great and professional.the way they teach is really good and makes the subject easy to understand.faculty is also great.any problem regarding any subject is looked into and cleared by the respected subject teachers

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Helpful Faculties, the faculties over here helped us through out the course
Good clean and green campus with water supply at different places in the campus
Structured syllabus for industrial readiness in the curriculum

Dislikes

Nothing such I have disliked, but some classrooms projector did not functioned properly
Some time the guards unnecessarily behaved rude which I hated the most

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

BCREC a underrated college

Likes

In my batch there are 64 student and there is only 17 girls.so the girl boy ratio is good.
This college has the largest campus of all the college in the West Bengal so college campus is really good
As I am a student of information technology so they are teaching me the course subject and also soft skill subjects that can help me in my placement journey

Dislikes

The college is located in rural area which is the bad thing
The course curriculum is not at the level of IIT NITs as we are studying some subjects which are introduced in the late semester which IIT and it and study in their second or third semester
The third thing I don't like is that the Student of the college discriminate among each other like the local residents who are bengali's day prefered their friend as Bengali

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

The college provides a moderately good infrastructure so it is more or less good. However some lab equipments have gotten old so upgrading those would be appreciated.
The teachers and students are very friendly so interacting is very easy. Teachers are mostly experienced and quite knowledgeable in their field of expertise. However the college follows the curriculum suggested by makaut which feels outdated.

Dislikes

The college doesn't give any options to play anything in college in their free time so that's an issue in my opinion. Also college isn't keen on giving NOCs for internships. Also they don't tend to provide funding to projects developed by students.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

GOOD College at low fees.

Likes

The campus is very big of the college which is about 50 acres and very greenly campus
The events and clubs with sports held in campus is very good and very happening
The placement opportunities in this college is very good and the faculties are very supportive

Dislikes

The infrastructure is bit old and renovates it bit very late which impact in bit difficulty
The senior are very supportive but at the same time they are very strict regarding the discipline which they call it ragging
The location of the college is bit outside of the main city so you can find it bit difficulty in your starting days of living here

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Why GCECT stands out: My Perspective

Likes

The college have less number of students in total so the senior-junior bonding is very strong, providing a homely environment.
Both the teaching and non-teaching stuffs are quite good and supportive. The college also arrange those teaching stuffs as mentors, 5-6 students per mentor. Girl students are particularly provided with female teachers as mentors.
The college also have various active clubs like - Robotics, photography, drama, music, sports, astronomy etc.

Dislikes

The campus is full of greenery but little bit small.
The infrastructures are not that developed, like some projectors & computers are non functional.
The college have only three branches in B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

The average placement of my college 4-4.5 lpa. In CSE branch 70-75 % students gets oncampus placement.Some students go for offcampus placement, others go for GATE examination and government examinations.

Fair college according to me

Likes

The college management is really up to the mark. I am from the computer science and engineering department.
Good placements according to the amount you pay.
Good environment for coding and development.

Dislikes

There are a lot of extra clubs which are not so functional.
Hostels are good but not up to the mark .
The play ground is available but not inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

Our college provide really good placements if the student is really eligible for employment. There are adequate no. Of companies visiting the campus. Some big companies are - MICROSOFT, LAB VANTAGE, DELTAX, RTCAMP, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, IBM, MUSIGMA, TIGER ANALYTICS, KEY SIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, KEYENCE, MANIKARAN POWER, TCS, E&Y etc. The highest package is around 20 lpa and the avarage is around 5 - 6 lpa. Placements are better for cse, it and ece. The core branches have mediocre placements.

The library system is good. With many authors and writers available.
The faculty is helpful and coperative.The faculty helps the students in their studies and day to day problems faced in the college.
The classrooms are enough big to accommodate the strength chosen by the faculty.

Dislikes

The labs are not very well equipped. The monitors and PC are back dated versions.
The washrooms are not very well maintained and they stink.
The faculties are not very helpful in the project work and personal academic life of the students.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students are allowed to sit for placement. Tcs, wipro, Capgemini are the mass recruiters of our college. Other companies visit as well Deloitte, accenture and many more. The average package being is 4 lakhs per annum and the highest being around 10 lakhs per annum.

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.
