Remarks

All the teachers of my college are very good. But our mathematics teacher Dr. Amaresh kundu sir is my inspiration. I love his behaviour. Our college need more teacher like him. Overall I love my college and the teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is not so good because there is only mathematics as a Honours subject. I think other science subjects also required to include in the B. sc course Such as Physics, zoology, botany, chemistry, computer science etc.

Placement Experience

2.5

There is no chance for direct placement from this college because it's not a engineering or medical college. My college do not provide internship. Our West Bengal government provide stipend only for sc, st and obc casts.

College Events

3.5

My college celebrates many events such as 12th January, 26th January, 15th August, 5th September, etc. My college also celebrates fresher's program, cultural program etc. Many respected persons attend my college's events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is not so expensive but if it can be reduce some more then it will be very helpful for poor students. Actually this college is located in a place where the number of poor people is very much. So it will be very helpful for those students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our West Bengal government provide scholarship to sc, st and obc candidates which is about Rs. 5000 per month. But I think 5000 is not enough. We need more such scholarship. My college does not offer any loan.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are not in good condition in my college. We need more elements. We need more labs also such as botany lab, zoology lab, geography lab etc. Students of our college are very good in sports. They work hard for sports.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I stay in a mess because my friend has told me that the infrastructure of the hostel is not so good. Although there are two hostel. One is for boys and the other one for girls. My mess fees is about 2500 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not so good. We need to improve the relationship between old and new students. We have to manage a reunion event atleast once in a year. Seniors are very helpful. I love the way they talk to us.

Admission

I get admission in this college through the merit list made by the college. Actually I love mathematics and this is a very good college for maths lovers. Although I think that this college need more mathematics teachers.

Faculty

4

Our mathematics teacher Dr. Amaresh kundu is a very helpful person. He is like our friend. TIC sir is also a good person. Also I love our Physics sir, Chemistry Ma'am and Bengali sir. I don't know much about other teachers.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
