College Once Again

Very strict rules were there but parents were really happy about these rules. If girls exceed their daily 2 hours of shopping time then have to write apology letters and sometimes leaves also gets blocked. But if you want a personality enhancement and a place to use your knowledge practically then this place is THE BEST.

The best thing is you can decide your timetable, can choose to take classes in the morning or afternoon. Which teacher to choose, with whom you want classes. Although because students were so much in number that it wasn't easy to get whatever you want. But still choosing the time slot was one best thing.

Placements are one thing that is best about VIT. Every year a lot more than 500 people get placed in some super dream companies like Microsoft, PayPal. Wipro turbo is the major recruiter with a package of 6.5 LPA. Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclay's, etc comes for pre-placement internship and almost everyone got PPO.

We used to have major fests. One is graVITas which was our technical fest. Lots of technical events used to take place during that time. And the other major cultural fest was Riviera. It's one of the top 10 college fests in Indian. 120+ events take place during these four days. Footfall is also impressive and increases every year.

It's feasible I guess. The tuition fee that I paid was 1,63,000 per annum and the hostel and mess coated me around some 80k for a year. Hostel fees mostly depend on the type of room you choose for. And also hostel counseling used to happen for the choice of rooms.

I got a scholarship for 100% attendance. Also, I had applied for Schneider electric scholarship but couldn't get that. A lot of these programs were there to help people with their economic problems also.

A lot of extracurricular activities take place there. Labs and infrastructure are really nice. Also almost every day they used to conduct some of the other activities by different clubs and chapters. Metal Mondays, street plays, blood donation camps, expos and so many workshops for different technologies used to take place.

Hostel rooms were nice and spacious. Bathrooms used to get cleaned twice a day. Daily room cleaning was also there. Also, washing machines and laundry facilities were quite nice. The food we get in the mess was also varied. It's not that every day we get something good but it was good overall.

Yes, we have an alumni group. As I passed out this year so haven't tried using much of it. But according to what I have heard it's really effective. We have one senior who keeps track of these things. And we also have alumni connect programs.

VITEEE is the exam which is to be appeared to take admission in VIT. If you get a rank below 20k then they'll call you in the first phase of counseling. Branches can be Choose according to your rank and availability. Even a different college campus is your choice.

The college has very high qualified professors. Most of them had completed their Ph.D. and were good with their concepts and helpful. In college, most of the people study on their own so it never really mattered. But Yes, when in final year I personally got a lot of help from my project teacher.
