The college provides good facilities to its students but there are some seriously strict hostel policies which are good in certain ways but also have some disadvantages of their own such as rules involving in timings and lack of mobility of students from one hostel block to other at night.

The course curriculum is divided into four parts namely program core, program elective, University core, and University elective. Students are required to complete the fixed number of credits from each of the four parts. The exam structure consists of continuous assessment tests which are conducted twice in a semester and a final assessment test at the end of the semester.

The college tries that all the students get at least one offer. A lot of companies approach placement. The placement companies' offers are divided into three categories namely super dream, dream, and regular based on the salaries offered and job designation.

Two events one technical festival called gravitas held in the fall semester and one cultural festival called Riviera held during the winter semester are held in Vellore institute of technology every academic year.

The fee structure is feasible and is based on categories which are further based on the entrance exam rankings. The tuition fees of first category students are 1, 85, 000 for mechanical engineering. Other fees include hostel fees and mess fees which depend on the type of service.

Scholarship based on entrance exam rankings are given to students with entrance exam rankings under 10000 are given 50000 annually and students with rankings under 20000 are given 25000 annually. Economically weaker students can opt for scholarships from the college.

Vit has various clubs and chapters which provide cultural and technical activities throughout the academic year. The labs are equipped with the latest equipment and also with an experienced set of staff. Sports facilities are good and the college organizes sports events every year during the winter semester.

I am a hosteller at vit, hostel fees depend on factors such as a number of beds and also on whether the room is air-conditioned or not. The infrastructure of the hostel is good and unlimited wifi access of 20 hours a day. The hostels also have indoor sports and gym facilities.

Alumni networks are made to connect the students of vit with alumni. They provide students and colleges with helpful suggestions and feedback to college and students. Alumni are connected through social media platforms for this purpose.

There was an online test and based on the rankings counseling was done and branches were allocated. The online exam consists of questions based on subjects of mathematic, physics, and chemistry. The syllabus of the exam is the syllabus of class 11th and 12th combined.

The facilities of the college are mostly from the southern part of India. The facilities are highly trained and experienced and they train students to be successful in their respective fields. The facilities hold lots of experience.
