Course Curriculum Overview

The college plans various outings and industrial visits were organized at college which helped students to achieve much practical knowledge and some change in the regular studies pattern. Every year students are taken out for such events and which is a nice practice btw.

Placement Experience

The placement society is very support and active. But a few companies come to hire students from here. The biggest could be EY.

College Events

Miss JDMC and Symphony are the major cultural events in the college where the cultural society as well as the the peers get to get along and have fun. The commerce department is the best course provided by the college, as per me. There is a huge lot of students that participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very low as compared to the level of knowledge provided. It's just 11k or 13k or something in between. The mode of payment is online,which is very easy. There are no additional or wasteful expenditures included in the fee. The college do provides transparency.

No, i didn't. But the college do offers scholarships like fee reduction to under privileged and lower castes.

Campus life is not so cool. It is an all girls' college. Overall, you'll get everything you are looking for. There are ample opportunities for all extra curriculars such as Fashion, media, football, baseball, etc. And even quizzes regarding academics too.

The seniors in college are very helpful. No need to worry. You enrol into different societies to be more productive for yourself.

Admission

I opted for this course as it is highly demanded by big companies. The merit lists of DU will be out and you just have to bring the required documents to college. That's it. It's simple. The staff is polite and helping. You will not face any issuess.

Tha lecturers are very smart, polite, helping and curious to help those who need. They are well qualified and energetic. The best part of the college and which you could call as the strength of the college is it's teachers. Mindblowing staff out there at JDMC.

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size

A students perspective on jdmc

I choose Janki Devi Memorial College mainly because it is a Delhi University College and has a good academic environment. I had applied to a few other DU colleges as well but the cutoffs is some of first slightly higher so, I could not get my preferred course there. When I got admission in Janki Devi Memorial College, I found that the faculty, infrastructure and overall environment is good, so I decided to continue here instead of waiting for further rounds. In comparison to other college I considerd JDMC has a disciplined environment, supported teachers and regular academic activities. The crowd is decent and the college focuses well or academics along with society and extra curricular activities which also influenced my decision.The admission process was conducted through Delhi University procedure. Eligibility depends on completing class 12th and qualifying through the entrance process used by DU. After the after the results and cut off education list are released, students confirmed their seats by submitting documents and paying the fees online. Admission process was through CUET UG exam. The selection was done through CSAS portal based on our preference list and marks in CUET exam.
