Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4

Janki Devi Memorial College provides information about internship opportunities through the placement cell and college groups. Many students apply for internship through platforms like internshala LinkedIn, and preferences shared in college groups. Rules for usually afford in areas like content writing, social media management depends on the company and the road. Student working in content writing or social media roles usually handle task like creating post and writing articles basic Research and managing online service and information that helps in finding suitable internships and gaining practical exposure

Fees and Financial Aid

I am pursuing bcom honours from Janki Devi Memorial College(DU). The annual fee for general category is ?20000 - ?23000 per year. The fee includes tution fee, administration cahrges, library charges, and other compulsory components. For reserved categories such as SC/ST, the fees are comparatively lower as per university of delhi norms and government guidelines. Some of my batch mates from reserved categories pay less than general category students due to fees concession. Regarding scholarships, students can apply for schemes like merit-cum-means scholarship, Du Financial Assistance Schemes and scholarship for St/SC/OBC/EWS categories. Financial aid is also provided to economically weaker students after proper documentation and verification.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience with campus life at Janki Devi Memorial College has been good. The environment of the colleges friendly and safe and students get opportunities to take part in different societies and activities. The annual fest is usually held in the early months of the year and it includes cultural performances competitions and different events where students can participate and interact with the others. The college library is well maintained and has a good range of books related to different subjects along with reference materials and journals. It easily accessible for student and provide a quite space for studying and completing assignments. Classrooms are decent and have basic facilities like projectors in some rooms which helps during presentations and lectures. Campus also provide facilities like extra curricular activities and student can try in different clubs and Society is according to their interests balance students can focus on Academics while also taking part in extra curricular activities and enjoyable and productive.

Admission

I choose Janki Devi Memorial College mainly because it is a Delhi University College and has a good academic environment. I had applied to a few other DU colleges as well but the cutoffs is some of first slightly higher so, I could not get my preferred course there. When I got admission in Janki Devi Memorial College, I found that the faculty, infrastructure and overall environment is good, so I decided to continue here instead of waiting for further rounds. In comparison to other college I considerd JDMC has a disciplined environment, supported teachers and regular academic activities. The crowd is decent and the college focuses well or academics along with society and extra curricular activities which also influenced my decision. The admission process was conducted through Delhi University procedure. Eligibility depends on completing class 12th and qualifying through the entrance process used by DU. After the after the results and cut off education list are released, students confirmed their seats by submitting documents and paying the fees online. Overall admission process is what all the competition and cut off can be high with me getting into top colleges difficult. To be a good decision for me because Academic environment is comfortable.

Faculty

5

The faculty members at Janki Devi Memorial College or generally supportive and well qualified the faculty to student ratio is decent and teachers are approachable if you want to clear doubts after class for during tutorials some teachers have a very clear teaching style and explain topics with examples which makes their classes interesting for example sir Deepak Rawat EVS II is a little strict about the work and assignments give but overall he is very knowledgeable topics everything is it to understand and his classes never felt boring the course structure is well organize and includes lectures assignment presentation and internal assessment along with the final semester exam usually there are internal and one final exam for each subject exam are of moderate difficulty if you attend classes and study from notes they are manageable and very few Student of the subjects.

Night Life

3

Friends jdmc college comma campus life is quite comfortable, and there are basic facilities available for students. Since there is a hostel inside the college students to stay there have more uppercunities to spend time on campus even after the classes. The library and cafeteria usually remain open till evening and after that most academic areas close. Students of 10 when time in the canteen loan, or common areas during free periods. For Hangouts outside the campus nearby Markets and cafes in the Rajouri Garden are popular, where students go with friends to relax after classes for on weekends. Hostel students usually have fixed in time rules for safety, the campus environment is generally safe and discipline. The locality around the colleges safe in the evening for student still prefer to move in groups at night as a precaution.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.
