Course Curriculum Overview

I like Wilson though but I feel they should change exam structure. Because we have to write 100 marks paper and it's theory and according to mg subject ( Psychology) students should have some practical knowledge too. There are practicals in 3rd year but I guess they keep some marks for practical and it should be there in 1st and 2nd year student too. I like majority of the student in Wilson. Especially sociology. Psychology ma'am is not very good. I feel they should change psychology teacher. There no industrial visit and IV for BA. I'M REALLY SAD ABOUT IT TOO.

Placement Experience

I really don't know about placememts. Because I'm under graduate. But yes there are internship opportunities but teacher are really cooperative about this

College Events

There are alot of event which helds in our college. Different types of seminar, events and activities take place. Each and every department have 1-2 fest in our college. BMM fest is biggest in our college. Each every fest have different feeling and excitement.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends from course to course actually. Also it depends on the family income or status. BA fees is 7000 something per year. And majority students have less than too. BMM AND BMS fees is expensive. Their fees ranges from 20,000- 28,000 But I feel our course fees is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted any scholarship so I don't know. I don't understand why this question is made compulsory tho.

Campus Life

There are more girls I'm BA than boys. This is what I have observed. There are alot of Muslims also in the college. Majority crowd is Muslim, middle class students are there. Different seminars and events takes place and there is sports day and nature club is also there. Games are provided to student like badminton, table tennis etc

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know because I haven't talked to seniors too much but If you ask for help they will help you.

Admission

After my HSC results were out. I applied for all the college I would to get admission. I wanted to do BA in Psychology and there is alot of competition in Mumbai for this subject. Luckily I got into Wilson in 3rd merit list and all the procedure was online. And all the instructions were gives online so it was not very difficult. I guess infact it was easy because you don't have to go physically to every college and waste your time and energy.

As I said above they should put more efforts I guess for that. Few teachers can be changed and there are alot of better teachers too. The lectures are supposed to be on practical ground more. I like that my colleg is better in management which is good for every student of the college in the sence
Some times management also fails for doing some things which are not big things because there are some technical issues
College hepls every student in the issues sometime it takes time but the solve tue problems of every students

I dislike that some times college staf is just listining not doing any thing
They should help every student with the responsible things for
That why students dislike some things in the college management

There are companies which comes through the college and help out the students with their placements from the companies it has every singel test how students perform in their task and skills that how the placement is described

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

For a person who into music production this is the best course and College but any other music field consider other options. The administration is too poor and are harsh on the students but the teaching faculty is supportive.

NO need of any entrance test to go for this course .Bachelors of arts . This college is known with good teaching faculty for arts. All it had a good ambiance, parking facility and good crowd from different parts of pune and all over maharashtra.i will recommend this college to every new student.

Wilson College: An Honest Review

- I had confirmed admission from St. Xavier's and Sophia's. I applied to Xavier's and Sophia's because of how renowned they were for their course and extra curricular activities - I did not go to Xavier's as I didn't get my preferred subjects. I didn't opt for Sophia's because I thought Wilson would be better. however, I came to regret my decision soon after. - the admission is pretty simple for undergraduate courses. They consider your 12th grade marks and seats are alloted based on merit. There is also a Christian quota with a relatively lower cutoff than general. The admission is done on the basis of marks secured in Class 12th.
