Entrance Preview

I gave VITEEE and got 1750 rank. I chose this college because I had no better option other than VIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose computer science and expected the course to lean more towards practicals. But it was the other way around. The faculty too was not up to the mark.

Internships Opportunities

The main positive about VIT is placements. I believe that all possible companies come to Vit. And they hire almost all the students. Companies like eBay, Flipkart, and many startups came.

Placement Experience

Many companies do come to Vit.Like eBay - 17 to 20 LPA, Amazon-22lpa, Flipkart n all. But the main drawback is. Too much crowd. So not everyone gets a chance to sit for all the companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

They have divided students into categories based on their ranks. Like of a guy has ranked between 10000-15000 then he has to pay 15lakh and he belongs to tier 1. If a guy has a rank between 15000-25000 then he has to pay 20-25 lakh. And he bonus to the second tier. The figures are rough. So likewise they have made 5-6 categories.

Campus Life

Campus life is very monotonous because of too many rules implemented on the campus. A guy n a girl can only shake hands. And due to too many exams. Life is very stressful.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't think any of the alumni would want to come to Vit anymore. Management suck of Vit. Amongst all the seniors only a few went to their graduation ceremony.

Exam Structure

College life was very monotonous because we use to have an exam almost every 20 days. We use to have 2 cats ( they were like sessionals) 3 quizzes. And one termed.

Placement Experience:

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

The network connectivity in girls hostel is poor
The food at mess is average sometimes it is not taste
The practical labs are help at distance.

Placement Experience:

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

Dislikes

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students
College provide only theoretical knowledge students for practical skills

Likes

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
