The college provides everything possibly required for an engineering student and makes sure that we are taken care of in every aspect may it be regarding education or culturally and it inculcates habits which lead us to becoming good citizens also able and efficient professionals with high morals.
Entrance Preview
I got into BMS through COMED-K as I had secured a rank of 986, there was no interview basically but upon admission we were given a sort of a test just to experience the standard of the college, I chose mechanical because aeronautics and automobiles are my fields of interest so it was a natural choice.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is nice and interesting, completely different from school level of education, more in depth analysis and brief reviews of each topic with practical knowledge of whatever we are learning hand on work experience is provided.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was a fun experience, I did mine with BHEL, Bhopal, and there was no actual salary but experience with the machines and certification of completing the course was provided.
Placement Experience
BMS ranks the best in Bangalore for job placements and boasts of 100% placement, for mechanical companies ranging from Audi, BMW, Rolls Royce, Mercedes to Tata, TCS are the companies which come.
College Events
Our college festival is called Utsav is Bangalore's largest college festival celebrated with events in technical and cultural sections, the other technical fests are PHASE SHIFT and departmental fests keep taking place often.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible for the facilities provided such as hostels, grounds, sports, canteens, and every other facility such as basketball courts, football courts, and so on.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm not aware of any loan but I guess they do offer scholarships of full fee waivers for the top three ranks of each department each semester.
Campus Life
The campus life is extravagant and fun, there is equal gender ratios and several parties happening on weekends to look forward to, sports festivals and intra college and departmental competitions keep us engaged all throughout the year.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities and mess are well maintained and clean with adequate fests and events happening all throughout.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students keep in good touch with the current students and also faculty and few alumni members have even developed by donating and few have themselves become the faculty.
Exam Structure
The exams structure is designed properly giving students adequate time to prepare and suffice, the standard of exams keeps up with standards if international universities, the exams are based on knowledge and application based rather than the cliché memory based exams, they are modern methods of quizzes projects presentations employed to check the knowledge of students.
Faculty
The faculty were very supportive throughout the course and have encouraged us and provided any educational or psychological help we needed at any time without hesitation just like friends would.
