Entrance Preview
KCET score 91 i wanted to be different to save lives and this course medical electronics seemed to give me both we are more like hybrids of the medical and engineering fields thats why I chose this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a little different from that of most other colleges and also expects us to do a lot more but we can see that it makes us better than the crowd when we pass out.
Internships Opportunities
I have not yet come across any internships as I am still in my first semester but my seniors have been doing internships in Philips, Seimens etc. The average stipend offered is around 20k.
Placement Experience
Everybody in my college is placed for sure atleast a 150 companies came to the campus recruitments and more than 1500 placements were received the highest offer so far for this year is 48 lakhs per annum.
College Events
A number of fairs and exhibitions have been conducted only in the last five months. Technical fairs such as for robotics, hackathons and student mini projects have been held by various departments and student groups. The kannada rajyotsava was celebrated on a grand scale showcasing the students talents. The NSS volunteers even conducted a BDC very recently and helped blood banks collect 1450 units of blood.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for students who come in through KCET is 65000Rs but the college and the alumni association also provides scholarships for worthy and needy students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The alumni association offers loans to needy students for have applied for it. The college board also give subsidies in case it decides the student is in need of it. There are book bank schemes where we can get the books required for the semester for 20% the price.
Campus Life
Extra-curricular activities by various students clubs happen throughout the week everywhere. The labs are well equipped and modernized. The sports department and gym are very encouraging and equiped. Debates and competitions keep occuring all year round and various levels with active participation of students. Students from various religions and countries go to our college. They get along well with the native students. There is absolutely no discrimination of any kind.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are well maintained and well furnished and also there are a number of PGs available around the college. The average rent is around Rs.20000 including provisions for meals.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is established far and wide with some very powerful people in it. They are also very helpful and encouraging when it comes to current students. The seniors are very friendly and are happy to help and advice us on any field necessary.
Exam Structure
We have regular exams and labs that are pretty frequent but we are not that stressed out since they are manageable if we are regular in our work.
Faculty
The faculty are very friendly each of them are among the best in their own fields they take a lot of effort to make sure we understand and excel in our subjects.
