Remarks

As far as my experience in MSRIT, it is the best college in bangalore. They not only concentrate on studies but also on other activities.

Entrance Preview

After my pre-board exams i took up CET, COMED-K and AIEEE entrance exams to get into engineering course. I had aimed for NIT(suratkal) udupi for electronics course but due to low rank i couldn't get. So i joined MSRIT and took up EC. Electronics is my favourite subject from my childhood. I always had a passion for electronics and hence make me choose EC course. MSRIT is one of the best engineering college in bangalore so i chose that college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is pretty tough compared to other branches. And it requires a lot of time to study and complete the portions. But no matter how tough it gets, if you love the subject anybody would eventually get better in it.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is a choice. There is no rule that we have to take up internship. It's a personal choice. One who is interested in it can take up internship in any companies. Only few of the internship were paid internship. Since i haven't been into a paid internship, i have very less idea about the stipend for internship.

Placement Experience

5

Placements is the best in MSRIT. In the year 2015, there were 100 percent placements. Almost all companies came to our campus and if I start listing out everything it would take around two pages. Around 280 companies had been to our campus and packages were pretty decent. I did not attend any interview since i had plans of getting into Indian Air Force. The packages were starting from 2.5 LPA upto 16 LPA.

College Events

5

Every year there is a fest held in our college called as UDBHAV. It is the breathing time for students since many activities will be held. During fest all classed will be cancelled and there will be many games and events and competitions. Cultural fest is the best. Especially when it gets dark, there will be rock band show and many others.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very cheap compared to other colleges. Our college fee was 11,000/- Rs. CET fee was common to all colleges. So for students who join through CET, fee structure is feasible. For students who join through comed-k, they had to pay around 1.5 l.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college do offer loan facility and scholarship too. But i have very less information regarding this matter.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratios was almost equal. We had a lot of workshops regarding robotics, computers and many more. And out college is a completely peaceful place. Because there were no gender discrimination, racism, no sexual orientation, no politics and basically everyone was treated equally. We had a lot of activities going on in any field like sports and debates and anything considered.

Hostel Facilities

4

I am a localite and i have no idea about the hostel facilities and mess food. My college is 10 km from my house.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors in my college are really good and co-operative. They even kept a freshers party for every fresher and used to help us in every way possible. They were interactive and sometimes juniors used to depend on seniors for any educational purpose.

Exam Structure

Unlike VTU, MSRIT is an autonomous institute. Hence we had a different exam structure. We first had the main exams. If one did not clear in main exams they had an option to clear it in Make Up exams held right after main exams. If not cleared in Make up too then they had to write supplementary exams. We had exams at the end of every semester. So basically it was chilled out. Especially after even semester exams we had holidays for around 3 moths.

Faculty

5

The faculty in my college is the best according to me. All the staff are very friendly and help us in every way possible. They also motivate us in doing projects which are considered to be tough. And almost every person is a highly experienced teachers with experience of minimum 15 to 20 years. So they are extremely good at what they do.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
