Entrance Preview

The competitive exam I took was EAMCET and I scored a rank of 20,000 to get a seat in my college. Since I opted Electronics and communication engineering the rank was well enough to get a seat in the college .The rank varies according to the course you choose. If you get a 20,000 rank then you are in a good position to get a seat in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was decent enough for a student like me who is good at physics and maths. The first year consists of the same subjects for all the students irrespective of any branches.Coming to the rest of the course, all the subjects seem to be easy enough, provided that you are good in maths and physics. The electives we have are object oriented programming, Digital image processing, Embedded systems and Digital Signal Processing.

Internships Opportunities

In my view, There is no need for the college to provide internship as there are numerous internships available online. But our college provides internships from many companies. Companies such as Microsoft and SAP also has tie-up's with our college in this aspect, apart from these companies there are many more companies that provide the internships.

Placement Experience

5

There is no need to worry about placements and job opportunities in CMR, because there are many companies that visit our college every year, companies such as Microsoft, Capgemini, SAP, Tech Mahindra, CSC and many more visit our campus every year and recruit the best students as per their requirement. Coming to the package it varies dependong upon the type of the company and the position you're placed in. Generally, they vary from 1.5 LPA to 15 lakhs per annum.

College Events

5

College fest is a most important aspect in a B.tech student life. Our college organizes a college fest every year, to be more clear it is a National level fest, since it has recognition by most of the universities throughout India. The good thing about this is that it is organized by the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is quite reasonable in our college compared to other colleges. It is 35000 when I joined, now it has increased to 50000. There is no need to worry about this amount if you're economically backward, as the government of telangana will reimburse the fee for these people. For the rest of them you'll have ample time to pay it.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you come under economical backward category then there is no need to worry about the fee because your entire fee will be waved by the government of telangana. Apart from this you'll also have scholarship opportunities from the government of telangana which you can avail.

Campus Life

5

There is no such thing called Gender bias in CMR technical campus, each and every student is given equal opportunity irrespective of the gender, race, religion which are the things that no one cares now a days. Coming to the extra curricular activities they are numerous of them. Sports such as cricket football basketball tennis volley ball etc are also included. If you are sports player don't step back that there aren't any activities, there are numerous opportunities provided to showcase your talent.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is important in a students point of view, because you can predict your future based in the alumni of the college. Our college has done their cent percent efforts to make the alumni students.

Exam Structure

Exams seem to be quite frequent in B.tech life though they come once in two months. The marks depend on the internal and external examinations. To be brief, 25 marks come from your internals and the rest 75 marks are in your externals. Coming to the labs, 25 is the internal maximum mark where as, 50 is the external maximum mark. The internals are conducted twice in a semester and thrice if you are in first year.

Faculty

4

Faculty are good in our college though some of them may not meet the standards a student expects, but the faculty are good enough to deliver the lecture with clear tone. Apart from the lectures, projects and assignments our lectures will be very friendly with students, they help a student in every aspect without any hesitation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
