CET or Karnataka Education Authority (KEA) exam conducted by Karnataka Government. Dr.AIT is a partially government sponsored and they have lab equipment for electrical which cannot be seen in any other colleges. Most of the lectures from Electrical course are from IIT and even completed there Ph.D.
Electrical and Electronics basically is very difficult course, Luckily this college has very good lectures who can help and guide anyone in right direction. Here they conduct a inter college fest called Tantrix, where students from different colleges come to participate and this fest is related purely towards course one can exhibit his or her project and any interesting research if they have conducted .They can even debate about the environments hazards caused by electricity, even showcase there technical papers.
Placements are very good almost all students gets placed here. Most of the IT companies come here like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Mind Tree etc And also core companies like Robert Bosch with that there will be even defense selection done here .
College conducts two major events one is Maitree and the other one is SanskruthiMaitree is the internal fest where only .Ait students participate and this fest includes both cultural and as well as course related. Sanskruthi is a inter college fest, where students from different colleges come here to paricipateand there will also be an exhibition .
As I had mentioned earlier, this is a private aided by government. Compared to college fees is very less. I completed all my 8 semesters less than a lakh. Initially you need to pay amount as fees for 1st and 2nd sem around 22 to 23 k (May have increased a bit now). Later it would be around 19-20 (May have increased a bit now). Each sem you need to pay exam fees.
You can approach any bank for educational loan. For OBC students there are scholarship sponsored by government . Each will given after year completion. There is reduction in fees payment for SC/ST students and they get free library books for 2 sems (entire sem books). If they produce some good technical papers college will take the initiative helping students to receive patents or any prototype project to be made complete working model.
Students who have completed PU have 8 semesters where first two sem are common across all branches rest are related to there specific brach or course which one has choosenStudents who have completed Diploma have 6 Semesters. Exam both theory and Lab exams will be conducted on different dates there will be minimum 5 to 6 days gap between theory and practical exams.
Faculty here are very experienced probably more than 30 years, In Electrical Department, 4 lectures had completed there Ph.d and one lecture was in last stages of completing the course when I left. Most of the lectures are from IIT and they have very good experience. If any doubts they can instantly solve it, this college also has received patents. They don't just have very good theoretical knowledge but also Practical Knowledge.
Placements are good, Best options from companies like Amazon, Deloitte, E&Y, TCS and other startups. The tentative percentage of placements will be around 70-80%, good mentoring I had provided for placements. we will be guided regularly about the placements and add certified courses will be given for the good package.
Placement is good but packages that are offered are not very high near about 88% of students get placed with an average package of 4.5 LPA and a maximum of 28 LPA. Companies visited are very frequent. My plans are to get placed in well repuated company by end of my final semester as this Institute has a good record of that.
Students are eligible for the placements from their seventh semester it self. The college trains the students to be star of the show in their placements. The placements that come in is pretty good. Few companies which came in were L&T, TCL,Honda etc 70% students will be placed in one or the other company.
Placement is quite good at this college, there will drive from vtu. And they start training from the beginning of sem for placements with placement classes.
No remarks good college, amazing teachers, strict but sweet sometimes, encouraging everyone for higher studies or placements, well managed institute, need better infrastructure and should avoid keeping parts of campus under construction always.
Placements are damn good in this college. More than 350 companies visit it every year. Since college area is less, so there is not so good culture for evening sports but since it's Bangalore, you have a lot of opportunities outside the college like truff, swimming pools etc.
The infrastructure is very good and long trees here look awesome. The buildings and ground are good. The teaching department is nice.
BMSCE has very less campus area compared to the other colleges. Randomly built buildings are seen all over the campus. BMSCE has students friendly atmosphere in campus. Spacious library with very good books.
Overall I would like to say that the College is very good and helps you to grow if you you want grow in any means be it Academic’s, sports, any area of interest. Negative remark college should improve on the facilities.
Good remarks : The college management has endeavored to ensure almost every process is transparent and simple to do. This has ensured that any transactions which may need to be done are done in a streamlined manner. Also , the deans are generally pro-students and help the students through any emergency that they may face. Bad remarks : The fund disbursement to technical groups usually requires long days of running around between various offices to get their approval . Yet sometimes, fund aren't disbursed in time and this may affect the functioning of the club.
