Remarks
I applied to the college after my 10th standard. I was selected by my merit. It's one of the best institutes in my state so without thinking I joined there. It offers a 6 years integrated course so, there is no need to write other entrance exams for my graduation. My college has the best infrastructure like laptops, a projector in every class, nice hostels and classes. I love this aspect of college most. I was offered a Mechanical branch based on my grade in intermediate. I love the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our college has a curriculum similar to other colleges. I love teaching. we have the best laboratories in our state. we were supposed to visit the industry but cancelled due to the present situation. Our faculty guide us to choose what to do next after college. We often have career guidance sessions by experts. So my college offers a lot which helps to grow in our career.
Internships Opportunities
I didn't do any internship due to lockdown. I would have done one as I am in my third year of BTech.
Placement Experience
Branches like Ece, CSE, EEE have a huge inflow of companies. Almost 80% of people get placed on campus. Branches like Mechanical, civil, metallurgy and Chemical have fewer companies. But they are placed off campus and also secure jobs in the Government sector. We have an alumni association where we get career guidance and interactive sessions from time to time. We have an Entrepreneur cell where selected students get trained to be Entrepreneurs. We also have an incubation centre.
College Events
Our college is the best place for technical festivals. Every year we conduct a technical festival where students from every branch showcase their creativity and technical skills in doing the projects. some of them were even appreciated and funded by the government. It is one of the biggest events in the state. Apart from technical fest we also have cultural where students perform in dance, skits, mime, songs. etc. We also have an annual sports meet where students from every branch compete with each other. We all participate actively in all of these.
Fees and Financial Aid
I get fee reimbursement based on my family income. Any student can get fee reimbursement if they have an income certificate with an annual income of less than 1 lack. If not you need to pay 36000 per year. I didn't hear about any loans as the fee is very nominal.
Campus Life
We have a vast ground. we have separate grounds for football, volleyball, basketball, cricket. etc. we also have a student activity cell where indoor games like table tennis, badminton, chess can be played. we also have kabaddi court. We also have wifi facility. every student can use up to 2 GB of data daily from 5 pm to 8 pm. we have a digital library, a 24hours library and also a library that works during academic hours. We have all the academic books and also other books for entertainment and also science journals. We have a well equipped lab. I can proudly tell you that we have the best laboratories in our state.
Hostel Facilities
Ours is a residential type college so, everyone must stay in hostels. We have the best hostel rooms with electricity and water supply 24/7.We have hygienic Bathrooms which are cleaned daily.I am an obc student so I pay 11000 per yThe fee. The fee is based on category.For intermediate students 15 students share a huge dormitory, engineering students share with 4 if it's big and 2 if it's small.If there are any issues they are solved immediately.
