Galgotias University Greater Noida, BAJMC, Journalism and Mass Communication

Reviewed on May 17, 2020

Remarks

Galgotias is a reputed institution well known by most of the people I got no negative reviews. But the University sure lack some facilities and the factor that it is built on the Yamuna Expressway which means you need to travel for 20 minutes everyday to reach thr college if you're residing in Greater Noida which surely is your only option. The faculties here are up to the mark and the teaching facilities are okay. The college is surely one of the best for BBA and B.Tech.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course (BJMC) is not the best in the university, it is okay the faculties are good and supporting but keeps on changing. Extra curricular activities are satisfactory if you are active. You also get to have weekly fueld visits to certain places in Delhi and Noida plus assignments attached to the visuts. Placements are also good for this course. Subjects are interesting and the syllabus completion varies from faculty to faculty. Projects are an important part of the course.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 83000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are good from the University, the companies are maily located in Noida and Delhi with minimum package of 2.5 they University also has companies to visit for internship placements. The highest package was 4.5 for my course. Out of all the students that appear for the placement atleast 3 get placed everytime a company conducts the placement.

College Events

3.5

There are many extra curricular clubs and every day there is something or the other going on in the university. I particularly like the events hosted by the clubs like games. Apart from that the University also organises DJ nights and celebrity visits. Actor like- Akshay kumar, vicky kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan, Sara khan, Pareneeti Chopra and many morehave visited the college.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is remotely located on the expressway which is a drawback. There is no wifi for the students plus the Mobile networks are weak in the university. The university is quite big with huge grounds and a impressive cafeteria. Every block has a library and othe facilities like labs and stationary shops.

Perspective as a VCW student

Likes

Facility and infrastructure is really good . In facility we get good internet connection e.g , talking about labs too , we get well equipped class and materials needed for the test , sometimes it may be bit defective aur old.
Teachers are the best things about this college. Course curriculum are designed in the way that you cover everything about the topic infact , sec , aec courses are also designed in students favour only .
The campus area and environment is good too , you may find the campus area small but it's really beautiful and peaceful , there is gym , canteen , ground with basketball and badminton court . You may not get the top notch facility but its not worse.

Dislikes

The first thing could be interior and mangement of washrooms. Canteen could be more better and provide more options . In summer , other than library we get no other sitting area , except the open classroom which are in tolerable in heat.
The bus management is worse too, I left the bus service because of their management.
The fests are not worse but could be organized in more better way .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally find the curriculum to be well made and in favour wit the students. In teaching methods , the subjects that demand practical exposure should be given tasks to be conducted on the real life situation, like the opportunity we get during internship . They should provide task like that .

Great learning environment, experienced faculty, and value for money education.

Likes

The faculty members are very supportive, highly experienced, and always ready to help students with their queries.
The course fee is extremely affordable and provides great value for money for students in this region.
The campus has a peaceful learning environment with a good gender ratio of around 1:1 for boys and girls.

Dislikes

On-campus placement opportunities are limited, and students mostly need to look for off-campus jobs.
Campus infrastructure needs modernization, including better Wi-Fi access and updated lab equipment.
More practical exposure and industry-oriented training programs should be added to the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers all essential topics required for higher studies. The curriculum is detailed and helps build strong subject basics. Teaching methods are traditional, so adding more interactive sessions and skill-based learning would be a great improvement. Exams take place every semester along with internal class tests, which helps in continuous evaluation without extra stress

THE OXFORD OF THE EAST

Likes

The fees is affordable in comparison to Delhi University.
The scholarship scheme is definitely helpful for those who are economically weak.
The main campus has a central library so its quite helpful

Dislikes

The books in the central library are quite outdated
The lack of infrastructure in the affiliated colleges of AU
No merit based scholarship scheme available for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

I wanted to go to VIPS, Pitampura. I did get admission there but they did not update the 4 year course policy which was newly released by the govt on their website and ipu website. Due to this my budget messed up and I had to back up. I specially prepared for this exam but in the end I ended up going to a private university where I feel like I wasted my time and money. This university is not how it may look like. It may be good in terms of fees but the faculty and courses that get taught are like as if pursuing two degrees with no meaning. The admission process was simple and east. Fill an application form and go to GCET and get everything done there that's all. No complicated thing....Read More
