Remarks
Very good as far as infrastructure is concerned but require more improvements with regards to faculty.
Entrance Preview
The entrance examination i had for my engineering studies is CET. One of the best entrance exams conducted in the India. Oxford college of Engineering was my first choice because of Good Placement options and easy accessibility. CET is known for it's transparency in the seat selection process the seat matrix was displayed on big screens and we were able to track the number of seats available under each domain and the college. This system also gave us the chance of selecting the best available option.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was VTU curriculam but i think VTU have to really rework on the same as it really does not meet the industry standards and requirements many students going out of college will not be ready to meet the standards required by the industry.
Internships Opportunities
We did not had any internship programs then but i heard there are many internships programs in various companies being offered in all the departments of engineering.
Placement Experience
It was actually started then and we had almost about 20 to 25 various companies of different actively participating in the placement drives of our college.
College Events
Oxford Day being celebrated ever year along with various other debates and departments fests were celebrated every year. Ethinic days,cultural fests were a part of events in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible compared to prestigious colleges as it is a moderate college and little expensive compared to other moderate colleges like Horizon,Reddy and other colleges in the city.
Campus Life
TOCE had a good campus before but now the it is completely filled with buildings, building and play ground, park etc. Extracurricular activities like debates,work shops, cultural events are not much compared to other colleges.
Hostel Facilities
Stands good have enough space for both hostel and mess and food seems to be little odd. But both hostel and mess are very spacious i heard they have built few more hostels in the vicinity and they are catering for various departments in the higher education sector.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini doing good but management have to organize more and more alumini meets and should try to involve alumini's in lot of events organized by the college.
Exam Structure
It was hectic then as the number of labs available was very less and they were suppose to complete it in the scheduled time so it seems to be hectic some times and chilled at some times.
Faculty
Faculty was the real issue it was a mixture of both Experienced and in experienced faculty handing the curriculam. I think management have to really work on getting the best faculty if they have to survive in the industry.
