Remarks

Very good college in case you are looking for an overall academic and personality development to be prepared for industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

I can assure that for students who really want to grow academically the university has the best resources in form of their course structure, course tutors, exam patterns etc. The exam process is very fair. Regular mid terms and end terms help you in pacing the study accordingly. There are many lectures arranged by the university for students by prominent industry pioneers. For all the courses LPU organizes industry visits which help you gain applied part of your chosen course. The same practical exposure helps in getting best placements. LPU focuses on overall personality development of their students.

Placement Experience

4

LPU has a proper devoted placement cell which works hard so that students get placed in good firms at a fair package. I have personally seen how they support students by organizing various competency and soft skills classes so that students can perform well at the time of the placements. Almost 80% of my batchmates were able to secure good jobs during placement season. LPU process is so smooth you don't have to worry about anything else except learning well and upgrading yourself with all sources that the university provides. Rest is taken care by the University. It has tie ups with so many international universities, so many national and international accreditations which in itself speaks volumes about the university credibility.

College Events

4.5

One World, One India, AIU, Youth Vibe and many other technical, business and sports events are some prominent fest organized every year by the university. LPU leaves no stone unturned in helping students to showcase their talent on national and international levels. I myself visited many cities for dance performances from LPU's side. Most of these events invite Universities and Colleges from all over India so that students get a clear idea of the competition. Students also actively participate. Coke Studio and stars visiting the university for film promotions keep students entertained and refreshed between hectic schedules to perform the best. These fest and events are very regular as LPU knows the importance of an overall development of student personality.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very feasible. You get scholarships also based on your academic performance. LPU is extremely transparent not only in fee structure rather all departments work very transparently. Fee can be paid online also very easily. I got 40k scholarship per year. Apart from that LPU provides you with all the information during the time of admission itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes LPU provided me with scholarship and I personally also took education loan to fund my course. The entire process was simple and smooth.

Campus Life

Gender ratio was good and usually depends on the course in which you take admission. A proper division of student affairs has been set up by the university to manage Co-curricular activities of students. Proper faculties are also hired for these trainings. Ragging is strictly prohibited and LPU never discriminates on any caste religion ethnicity basis. It feels like second home. There are many cultural societies where students can nominate themselves and become a part of. In hostel parties and inter hostel sports and other competitions are regularly held for maintenance of healthy competitor feeling in students.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I opted for hostels. Best hostel facility with good quality food and laundry and security service in place. Rooms are on double triple single sharing. Cleanliness is maintained at all times in the hostels. There are around 12 big hostels for proper accommodation facility of students. LPU has its own private hotel also inside the campus for visitors. Parents can also avail stay facility when they visit LPU. Average fee for hostels can vary from 40k to 80k.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes indeed they are very helpful. They are even invited in the campus for guest lectures and placements. They share their experiences with juniors and also tell them about the industry realities and how any student can improve themselves for the industry. Many alumnus have conducted placement drive in the university after passing out.

Admission

I got admission in LPU through my 12th marks merit. Scholarship and university reviews apart from university accreditations were the factors that lead me to make this decision. Admission process was very easy as LPU has its city offices almost in all prominent cities. I also took admission through LPU's Bareilly office. They guide you with the proper admission process.

Faculty

4

Every faculty is recruited following best industry standards. You have Head of Schools on top and then HODs, Professors, Associate and Assistant Professors who have expert domain knowledge. They all are approachable and usually help students in every possible way. Well qualified teachers make you understand all ground concepts clearly alongside the implications in industry. They help you choose and achieve many online and offline certifications on campus that will help you throughout your career.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
