AIIMS Rishikesh, MBBS

Reviewed on Aug 22, 2020

Remarks

The college has stupendous placement opportunities, excellent facilities and well-maintained infrastructure.Overall ambience of the college is really good and there are many things one learns and gain experience from in the days spent here as a student.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is divided in such a manner that a student gains complete knowledge about the subjects taught in it.There are nine semesters and 19 subjects which are included in MBBS course. The exams are taken after evey 6 months and there are 4 exams taken in a year that include 3 professional exams.

Placement Experience

The name and recognition of AIIMS is itself enough for students to get placed with high packages in well recognised hospitals and health centres. The internship opportunities provided here are extremely beneficial for students to get clinical experience in the field of their career along with negotiable stipend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very reasonable and feasible fees which is INR 5800 and includes tuition fees, accomodation fees and other miscellaneous charges. It is affordable and also very low compared to other medical colleges and every student that is from a well-to-do family and from a economically weaker section of the society can easily pay the dues.

Campus Life

The college has students in 3;1 ratio and there are more boys than girls in the course. There is no biasness or discrimination on any grounds in the college. The college has excellent focus on all types of extra curricular activities like cultural events and sports competitions and also there are conferences and meets held to update students with more knowledge of the field.

Admission

To get admission into AIIMS,the entrance exam that is to be cleared with excellent scores is NEET-UG.The competition is very tough and students from all over the country compete to be a part of it.Only if one has a high rank in the entrance ,it becomes easy to get admission in the college.

Faculty

The college faculty of the course is undoubtedly excellent. They cooperate with students ,are very helpful, understanding and efficient in their subjects of expertise.Highly-qualified and well-recognised teachers are a part of AIIMS.

A Well-Rounded B.Tech Journey with Good Infrastructure, Supportive Faculty, and Growing Career Opportunities

Likes

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.
