Entrance Preview

The selection process is the same as Delhi university. I got in through cut offs and there was an exam for English proficiency to determine what course in languages should be offered to the student. I opted for this college because of its curriculum which wasn't there in any universities I applied to.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum was a spectrum of social sciences and humanities subjects. From maths to drawing, it was so varied and offered students the choice to construct their own degrees which wasn't possible in any other university.

Internships Opportunities

Unfortunately, i haven't done any college internship for now. But I guess there are a lot of paid opportunities for students to take part in. I have heard of a few of the but couldn't bother to take time out for it.

Placement Experience

3.5

We have an entrepreneurship cell in place which helps students prepare for jobs and gives them exposure to the corporate side of the business. Other than that we have on campus selection from companies for promising students.

College Events

5

We have lots of events in ambedkar. Our annual fest is audacity which has everything imaginable in it from restaurants setting up stalls and serving food to crooning bands and group dance performances from different colleges. We have spring fest and other minor events.

Faculty

5

The faculty is as vibrant as the courses offered. Having expert knowledge of their disciplines and knowing how to relay that knowledge to students. The faculty is extremely helpful and friendly towards the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
