Remarks

This college is developing in terms of their expansion globally. They are collaborating with various institutions at national level which is helping students to enhance their leadership skills, communication skills, etc. They organize study tour to various dairy and food plants to provide practical experience of the subjects. It is a good option to be considered for pursuing any course related to food industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a 4 year program which consists of eight semesters. The syllabus of the course is well structured to provide ample of knowledge about the food science and technology. There is a lot of experimental learning involved to nurture the growth of the students. Exam pattern is also flexible and are conducted at the end of every semester.

Placement Experience

4.5

This course offers a good placement opportunities as the demand for food experts are increasing day by day. The students get the job of a production manager, R&D personnel, food scientists etc in the food manufacturing and packaging industry. They even have the opportunity to get hired as a research associate in premier institutes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to me, the fee structure is very basic and affordable. It is cheap as compared other colleges which offers a 4 year degree. As it is a government university, the fee is minimum which is 56,830 INR.

Campus Life

Students are actively involved in sports activities. They are provided equestrian training. The library is easily accessible with enormous amount of books, journals and also E-journals. Various tech meets, debates, art workshops etc. are organised to improve the communication skills of the students and also to inculcate a sense of responsibility among themselves.

Admission

It follows the defined admission procedure like every other college. I appeared for common engineering entrance exam (KEAM) conducted by the government of kerela. It also requires 50% minimum in PCM. Once the entrance exam is cleared, i submitted all the documents for completing the admission process.

Faculty

4.5

It holds a team of highly qualified faculty members. As the students are required to gain two work experiences in the last year, the faculty acts as a guiding force to face those challenges. They are helpful and always researching on various subjects for the development and to make classroom teaching effective by their experiences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
