Course Curriculum Overview
The whole program is designed around the new age media which involves a vast usage of the different digital platforms. We are taught to use the latest video cameras and also our mobile phones in capturing the news and other necessary content. Not only is the focus given on theory they also have ways to focus on the creative side critical approaches and investigative skills of the students.
Placement Experience
There are job opportunities in VOGUE, Network 18, The Times of India, NDTV and others after we are done with our course. Students who do not wish to continue with their higher studies will be given the best support by the college so that they can get placed in a good company.
College Events
In our department we get to attend many workshops which are related to sports or even events where we can spend time with the media and also meet celebrities. These are one of a kind experience which is not only very exciting for us but also gives us exposure to the real world of media and journalism.
Fee Structure And Facilities
During admission students have to pat a one time fee which involves the registration fee and the alumni fee which is of Rs. 74,930. Along with this the students also have to pay the fee of the first semester which is Rs. 1,91,750. This is the fee that students have to pay for every semester until there is any change in the fee structure.
Campus Life
We have a mixture of male and female students in our departments and there is no diversity from the faculty end towards any of the teachers. We share a very cordial relationship with students who are not a part of the friend circle. Since we engage in many seminars,workshops and other extra curricular activities, all of the students in the department have a good relation to each other.
Admission
I was always determined to get into journalism right after my 10+2 but when the time came I was confused about where to apply. I came across Pearl Academy and saw their website. The whole course and placement options gave me hope that this might be the right place for me. I applied for the course of UG in journalism and was given a date for entrance exam and then an interview after I completed all the formalities.
Faculty
There are experienced filmmakers and journalists who are our faculties. Since they are currently practicing in the industry we are able to get hands on knowledge about the things that we need to know to venture in to the industry.
