Mumbai Music Institute, Diploma in Studio Sound Engineering

Reviewed on Jun 15, 2020

Remarks

If any student needs exposure in field of composing music or writing lyrics, this institute is the best. The fee structure might be a little too expensive but is fair and affordable. We have various events where numbers of singers, music directors as well as composer from well-known industry visit as chief guest.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of this college includes music teaching and learning. Since I am pursuing Diploma, my course is of 6 months duration. In this course, we cover Bollywood music, Indian Classical Music, Folk Songs etc.

Placement Experience

Exposure for students in this institute is really nice and future is bright as this institute is placed in Mumbai and many great singers as well as composers visit our college during any event. So the rate of placements and job opportunities is at higher level. The college also provides internships to many students in the field of music composing and directing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of this college might be a little higher as compared to other college or universities of the same category. The total fee structure for my 6 months diploma course is Rs 1.7 Lakhs including tuition fees, other fees like admission fees, cultural fees etc.

Campus Life

When it comes to extra-curricular activities, the students here are involved in many such activities. Some students here indulge into writing lyrics, some compose music, some play any kind of instruments and also have clubs of every particular field like instruments clubs, composing clubs etc.

Admission

As of getting admission in this college, it is merit-based. After completing 10+2 boards from a recognized boards, I had filled application for colleges and universities. As I was very ,much interested into music, I filled application for this college also. Since some seats were vacant and I had a good scoring in boards, I got admission in this college.

Faculty

The faculties of our college are really splendid and stunning as well. We also have great composers and music directors as faculties with us. They have huge experience and in-dept knowledge in Music field.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from starting of the second year. The placements commence then and continue till everyone is placed. Being a young college, the placements are improving on a yearly basis with new companies being onboarded. The average package stands around 12-13LPA.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center, IMB ( International Masters in Business)

Reviewed on May 3, 2020

Remarks:

I had honestly applied in only a selected number of colleges, as I was doing really well in my coaching and was always among the top 2. Since, I was expecting a lot from myself, it created performance pressure and I went blank during the actual CAT examination. So SDA bocconi was among the top 2 options that I had. It is less than a decade old and has still managed to provide good placements. The most fascinating part is the entire semester in Bocconi,Milan which is the 21st best college in the world and 7th in Europe. I also spoke to many aluminis and hardly got to hear anything that will stop me from taking admission in SDA bocconi. Plus, the advantage of the college being in a city like Mumbai has it's own advantages.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.
