Remarks

Awesome college people cherish those 4 years of college forever.

Entrance Preview

At the time of my entrance CEE was conducted for admmission into DCE and NSIT although less known that DCE, NSIT has awesome campus, good study culture my rank was 986 and I chose Biotech because I liked Bio.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course will make you learn a lot but it was helpful since after B.Tech a lot of diversification is there it gives you ample starting point for further studies too during the four year, you have electives and you can choose between research oriented subjects (like cancer) or bioinformatics subjects or simpler subjects.

Internships Opportunities

For Biotech there were less opportunities for internship provided by the college however the faculties help you inn getting internship in other institutes through their personal contacts.

Placement Experience

4.5

Almost 99% students gets placed with 50% students having more than 1 job in hand the placement team takes a lot off pain to bring in the best companies for placement the companies are divided into 4 categories A, A+, A++ and dream a normally comprises of TCS, Infosys etc. A+ has EVS, Mu Sigma. A++ like ZS Associates, Bain, So if you get into A, you can still appear for A+ and A++ and dream and so on.

College Events

5

3 fests are held 2 cultural and 1 technical. 1 cultural fest is intra college called Resonance. It is a fun event as people get in touch with other departments then a inter college technical fest which is the main platform for techies just before the end of the year, inter college cultural fest called Moksha is held which is known in Delhi and is among the biggest fest in Delhi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During 2008 12, the fees was just 25k per year which is damn cheap it has now increased to around 60k per year but still it is much cheaper than other colleges like IIT, NIT since NSIT is a part of DU. Evenn the hostel fees is not much. I completed my graduation in just 1 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides scholarship for low income group people it also provides scholarship to top performers each year. I got scholarship for alll the four years since I was in top 3 students.

Campus Life

4.5

Some branches have good gender ratio like biotech, IT and some have poor like ICE a lot of opportunities to participate in extracurricular fests are one way secondly there are societies like debating society, dramatics society etc which provides a platform for students to be exposed to other challenges off life.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Normally twin sharing rooms and sometimes shared by three people. There are plenty of boys hostel and ample space in boys hostel girls hostel are less in number but all the hostels have wardens girls hostel have entry and exit rules and the wardens are

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are the most helpful people they provide you books, notes and everything you may need to survive.

Exam Structure

In one semester two exams were held, one mid semester and end semester. Mostly the paper were set up in common for NSIT and DCE and your own teachers would do the checking so easy to score in the exams passing marks are 40% however if you score more than

Faculty

4.5

Even though, at the starting there were only 2 faculties in Biotech, arrangement was made for good visiting faculties. All the faculties were PhD and had a great knowledge of the subject they also take practicals seriously since practical knowledge come

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
