Remarks

This college has a well-established computer centre with the latest computer technology. Our college provides excellent, well, furnished hostel accommodation. If you have goals and you want a good future you should apply to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed in a way so that we can apply engineering practices required for software development. It upgrades our data science knowledge and self-innovation skills. We understand the impact of our engineering solutions in a societal and environmental context.

Placement Experience

3.5

Key recruiters in our college are Allianz, Flipkart, HCL, OMNEX, WIPRO. Our college has 70- 80% placement records. We have opportunities for industrial training too. Many students in my batch are working in reputed MNCs. Some of them are even doing further studies abroad.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the first year is sixty-one thousand rupees. Hostel rates are not included in this fee. You can take student loans they do not provide any loan facilities on their own. Total fees for four years is Rs2.11 lakhs.

Campus Life

We celebrate our annual sports meet which we RAPIDO. The college promotes popular games such as tennis, badminton, cricket, football etc. Regular inter-college tournaments are conducted. There was FDP in machine learning techniques in 2018.

Admission

I got admission here on the basis of entrance test KEAM. If you have done twelfth in science stream with physics chemistry and mathematics as the main subject with minimum 50% marks you are eligible to apply for this course.

Faculty

The teachers in our department are competent. They all have the knowledge and have a good understanding of their subject. If you have any problem regarding the subject they will give you the extra help you can call and email them.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Candidates who have passed 12th examinations with physics, mathematics, and chemistry as their compulsory subjects with an aggregate of 45% are eligible to apply. I Got admission through the KEAM entrance exam conducted by the government of Kerala and the category allotted to me was state merit (SM). So the tuition fees were fixed by the government as INR 5O, OOO per yr and as it was a self-financing college they had many other fesses like special fees, placement training fees, etc. and at the time of admission, we had to pay 1000 Rs as admission fees and caution deposit of INR 10,000 (Refundable) and the 2023 year cutoff was 48567 for KEAM. 50-50 merit and management seats are available and at STCET a class comprised of 60 seats for each branch....Read More

College Life well spent at STCER

The admission process was quite simple. On the day of counselling based on your rank, you will be provided college. Suppose your rank is above 5000 you may have been called for counselling on day 2. Now there is the opportunity of selecting another college. I particularly followed this college since what I have heard from my seniors who used to study in this college is that here placement facilities were really outstanding .plus since I am from the outskirts of Kolkata I could reside anywhere in Khiddderpore where this college is situated. In simple terms, the location of this college is really good. The quite easy transport is also available here. To get CSE over here your rank should be above 6k. In my time anyone below 6k didn't get an opportunity to study over here....Read More
