Course Curriculum Overview

We had 22 Modules and 3 Workshops in our course with a total of 405 Sessions (81 Credits) and 6 sessions (no-credit). The course was 10-month in duration and had a compliation of print, broadcast and online journalism and we were taught using media in all three. The course was a bit hectic but gave you a overall training on getting into the field.

Placement Experience

4

Our course was a professional development course so most of the students looked into NGOs, publishing, news, and broadcast companies that would provide good jobs and packages. The teachers were also a great help in helping us figure it out.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My total course fees was 3,25,230 rupees, this also included the registration fees and library costs. The total course was quite feasible for a professional level training course. I chose the course because it offered the high-skill level training in such a price.

Campus Life

We had so many functions throughout the year in Xavier's. We celebrated many cultural and festivals. We also had annual days and other functions students could participate in. We also were allowed to have dorm parties if we took proper permission.

Hostel Facilities

My time in the hostel was some of the best in my life. It was truly a home away from home. The prices were very reasonable and they had many facilities like big rooms, recreation rooms, and a big mess with good food.

Admission

I first applied for the entrance exam and was shortlisted there. They asked me to come in for a group discussion, after that i was asked to attend a personal interview where they asked me basic generic questions like why i want to do the course. After few weeks they contacted me and told me i got admitted.

Faculty

5

Our department faculty were highly qualified and had years of experience working as a journalists and in their respective fields. The non-teaching staff like the people you go the rent the equipments were also were very helpful and great. They taught us a lot and also gave us accessibility.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For first year you are supposed to take up internship from your own and for second year the college with place you somewhere so this is usually done to make you ready for real world. You also have internal tests along with assignments and with internship so sometimes it gets exhausting I feel this area should be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

As I have heard people mostly get placements from this college itself. If not they go for their degrees and take placement there. The salary is mostly around 5 lakhs per annum which is decent enough for most students. According to the principal from the college if a student studies afterwards for degrees this number racks up to 18 lakhs.
