Remarks

Over all the college is the best one and I am proud of being part of that. Management should focus on popularising the college by participating in ranking programs

Entrance Preview

Tamilnadu entrance exam. Selected this course through conselling. The course which I selected was available as per the ranking. I preferred to take course only in this college. There was no interview. The selection is purely based on the tamilnadu entrance rank combined with plus two course marks

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is best in the field. Updated based on the latest development in the field. Some of the electives are fuzzy logic, visual programming, power system analysis.

Internships Opportunities

For undergraduate courses there is no internship. The final project needs to be completed by the student and the student has to complete the project in the college itself under the guidance of one of the professor. However students are allowed to do internship on their own during the vacation.

Placement Experience

2

Almost 80% placement in mainstream engineering courses. Average package during my period is around 2 lakhs. Companies from IT companies comes during the starting of fourth year. In many cases companies comes during the holidays after sixth semester. Core companies comes in 7th or 8th semester. Intake will be more for IT companies whereas core companies take around 10%. Infosys, TCS, CTS, L&T, ABB, TVS Motors, HCL, Indian oil are some of the companies.

College Events

2

Intra department cultural and technical symposium open to all. There is college level cultural fest called techofes which consists of cultural events, competition, fashion show. It's fun filled 4 day event where students from different colleges participates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is govt funded, fees is affordable. The fees has to be paid every semester. There is no donation or capital fees. The fees includes all lab and examination fees for the semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships offered by government, college and alumini. Student handbook contains the details of each scholarship which guides students in applying.

Campus Life

2.5

Every student enjoys the college. Every student has opportunity to indulge in studies and extra curricular activities. College provides sufficient facilities for the same. It also has tie up with industries. There is no ragging and students don't indulge in strikes.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Not a hosteller so not aware much about hostel life. Bit there are many friends who stay in hostel. There are many blocks of hostels for all types of courses. The hostels are segregated based on the type of course and the year. Boys and girls hostels are separate. Ug hostel has shared accompdation with either two or 4 per room. It has internet cafe and hostel mess. Shared toilet in all hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an informal and formal alumini network. My activities in alumini network is very limited. There is an alumini association and each student who is passing out can enroll in alumini association. I enrolled and am an member of the association.

Exam Structure

50% marks through internal assessment spread throughout the semester. 50% through final exam. The internal assessment consists of three exams during the course of the semester. The faculty can decide on one of the assessment as seminar or project work instead of exam. Each week will consists of approx 30 hours of class including lab and it depends on the credits. 1 credit of theory subject will have one hour class per week. 1 credit of lab is equivalent to 2 hours of lab practice.

Faculty

2

Faculty are experienced and most of the are phd holders. For some courses, teaching cum research associates comes for teaching. Quality of them are average except few

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
