Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for History is based on all the important and significant event held in the history of the world. It gives a brief about how the cultures have evolved and how the world has grown into the state it is now. Thus, the curriculum is very interesting and full of intricate details.
Placement Experience
A number of companies visit the college regularly for campus recruitment. Some of which are TCS, Larsen & Toubro, Srei Sahaj E-Village Ltd., Tatwa & Limtex and many other. However, the recruitments from our course is limited and only a few students get placed in the companies of their choice.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for a 2 year long program of M.A from my college costs a total of Rupees 21,750 which includes tuition, administration, registration and other fees. Further, the fees can be paid in each semester or for the whole year in the first semester.
Campus Life
The college offers various facilities like Hostel accommodation for both boys and girls, library and a health centre. Apart from this, the college also offers scholarships and financial assistance to students whose family income is less than 4.5 lakhs per annum.
Admission
I did M.A (History) from West Bengal State University, Barasat. It is a 2 year course and the admission process is based on the marks secured in Bachelor?s Degree in the relevant discipline which should be more than 50% and marks secured in the entrance examination conducted by the university.
Faculty
The faculty of the college includes the director, professor and assistant professors. All of them are extremely helpful and boast diverse knowledge in this field. They are very punctual and take regular classes in which students have to maintain at least 75% attendance.
