Remarks

Mostly good and quality education except a few like poor canteen and hostel .I love the days there and got placed in TCS.

Entrance Preview

I took TANCET and got 31 rank so did M.E. Communication systems in CEG Chennai. The interview process is quite easy as it was purely based on Tancet ranking.

Everything was amazing right from courses to projects which we do on our own with experienced guides.Lots of scope for research work too .Our department focused on microships advancement. The syllabus was focused on developing knowledge about communication .

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Interested students are welcomed for internships and abroad program. For GATE cleared students, 8000 was the stipend.

Placement Experience

2

Placement was not upto the early records. But in my batch every one got placed, and more in IT companies . A few only got selected in core companies as it was reccession at that time. Facebook was the biggest paid employer who visited our campus but selected only one.

College Events

2.5

Technology was at its peak peak developed and many cultural and technical fests and events were arranged and also paper presentation and seminars were there throughout as it was a big hit campus and participation was there from more than 3000 students all over India .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible for every one as its a government college and also a university campus and moreover stipends and fee waiver for scheduled castes made it easy for even rural students to complete the degree without any financial problems . GATE qualified students are given with stipend as well .

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not much sure about this part. But yes, few of my friends availed scholarship programs from college which is almost like they spent only around rupees 500 / month when they got scholarship of around 2700 in addition to GATE stipend of 8000.

Campus Life

1.5

The ranking system was in place and no gender based orientation or separate policy was there .Campus was cool and I couldn't find any different in castes or economic status difference felt among the class or department students .Moreover , the college assures you freedom to explore a lot .

Hostel Facilities

1

Mess was poor and the quality was not good. The rate was low but you won't find anything tasty or spicy up there .And hostels were not given for post graduate students ,but again hostels and fee are very less which is less than thousands comparable to oth

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, of course we have got get together with the our immediate seniors and more of them you could find in research organizations or in I IT doing Doctoral programs. Magazines published from CEG incorporate all these events and technical advice can be a had from any alumni for papers presentation as well.

Exam Structure

Exams were prepared by staff's with as its a university college campus .Pass percentage is quite good . And there has been more of internal exams as well . The average of our internal assessments are usually our semester end grade .Projects are weighed if

Faculty

2

Highly qualified and experienced team of staff in every department. It's more of a friendly class environment with visual aids for M.E. The classes were not regular but fixed mainly based on students availability. All our staff are doctoral degree holders
