Collage management is not that good. They are focusing on money only.

RANKED 7695 in WBJEE and admitted to the college through counselling. Before joining this college I have consulted with my teachers and other seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course are as per the West Bengal University of Technology. I have opted Computer Science and Engineering. The courses are helpful to build our future career.

Internships Opportunities

I have worked for two internship. I would rather call it industrial training. One from my college under Mr Sudarshan Nandi, another from one institution Named as Vforce Global. In both cases no stipend has offered.

Placement Experience

Being a CSE student there are good job opportunities. But our collage management had played a pathetic roll in it. I have placed by an off campus drive.

College Events

There are two events conduct in the collage by students. They are freshers and fest. Fest includes a Tech Fest and other ceremony. Each years new students are greeted with freshers welcome event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is also as per WBUT. At my time my admission fees are 41000(aprox.) Caution money 5000, even semester fee 21000 odd semester fee 28000. there are 8 semester in the course

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I have taken educational loan from bank. There are some scholarship available for Minority students.

Campus Life

Campus life was so so. We have a big play ground, but there are no common room for students.Some labs are good and some are below expectations. Canteen food are worst. There are no proper arrangements in outsides too.

Hostel Facilities

I am not aware about the hostel of JIS Collage of Engineering as I had not opted that. Some of my friend opted. They are so so.

Alumni/Alumna

I did not get opportunity to attend any alumni event from JIS Collage of Engineering or JIS group. We had some facebook group. They are not so much helpful for newbies.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is as per West Bengal University of Technology(WBUT) currently knows as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.

Faculty

Faculties are very helpful. Although there are few faculties with no knowledge, most of the faculties are according to my expectation. Faculties of my specialization encouraged me to learn beyond syllabus

Good Internship Opportunities

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

mostly from end of third year students start getting campus placements and companies like TCS AND WIPRO HIRE MAJORITY of the students. The average package is 450000 and highest package every year goes upto 9-12 lakhs per annum. I want to go into core Electronics domain for which I am preparing for masters as no core electronics companies come in this college

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Fair college according to me

Placement Experience:

Our college provide really good placements if the student is really eligible for employment. There are adequate no. Of companies visiting the campus. Some big companies are - MICROSOFT, LAB VANTAGE, DELTAX, RTCAMP, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, IBM, MUSIGMA, TIGER ANALYTICS, KEY SIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, KEYENCE, MANIKARAN POWER, TCS, E&Y etc. The highest package is around 20 lpa and the avarage is around 5 - 6 lpa. Placements are better for cse, it and ece. The core branches have mediocre placements.

The college is good for academics but there is no campus life.

Placement Experience:

The placements are average in the college. From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements. About 60% students get placed in the college. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was around 13 lakhs per annum. I will choose to do M.tech after passing out of the college.

Reality of Jis college of engineering

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
