Remarks

The factors I took into account while choosing NIT Warangal were the reputation of the college, placement stats of past years and the quality of teaching in the college for my chosen branch. It is a premier engineering institute among tier 2 colleges of India and I wanted to get that exposure through this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was a mix of modern topics and age old concepts. The teachers were really knowledgeable but the academic pressure and competition was high. There was a tendency to rote learn but the toppers were always those who understood the concepts well. The teachers' quality was really good and they were helpful towards research aspirations. Some notable faculty members in my experience are Dr Ramana Reddy Sir, Professor Kameshwar Rao, Dr. Ram Reddy, Dr. Keshava Rao, Dr. Kartik Balasubramaniam, Dr. Krishnanand Lanka, Prof GRK Gupta, Dr. Hari Kumar and Dr. Jaya Krishna

Internships Opportunities

I didn't opt for any internship though my college in the third year.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements and job opportunities are decently good as the established brand of the college does attract numerous big dream companies to campus. With some patience and good diligence, it is possible to secure a good job from an incoming company. However the placement process can be surely improved in terms of allowing students to sit for multiple companies.

College Events

3.5

The campus life was a little monotonous for me. The highlights were the football sessions at the ground, the long walks among the beautiful trees, the juice-seller and the coffee shop where I spent many days reading books and doing my research. The fests in campus were a big deal and there were some good musicians who had visited our campus. I had even served as the host for the first ever Ted Talk in my college. One downside is that there tends to be a little regionalism and politics involved in the selection of volunteers and holders of key positions during many activities. But the college in general promotes more and more activities in campus, including the successful execution of hosting the Youth Festival in Jan 2018 and Jan 2019 to celebrate the spirit and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

Fees and Financial Aid

I earned a merit scholarship in my final year for my consistent academic performances which waived off my entire tuition fee of third year. There are other scholarships in our campus are offered to people who are in dire need of financial aid, or those who hail from a certain state or other country, or those who belong to a certain quota/reservation.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure improved significantly in my tenure at the institute. They created two new mega academic buildings, new lab centres, a modern Placement Cell Building and a Teaching-Learning centre along with an ongoing women's hostel construction.

Hostel Facilities

The existing messes and hostels have a huge capacity and don't have any occupancy issues. But they need to be renovated more often and the service in the messes needs to be much better, maybe by employing a proper food contractor.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is relevant because we are not just studying theory all the time. Along with regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects and problem solving which actually feels useful. It feels like the course is designed to help us build skills that we will need later not just clear semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
