During my time, I gave both the AIIMS entrance exam and NEET and managed to secure a rank in both. I then decided to join AIIMS as it was my dream. I went through the counseling process and got admitted into AIIMS Nagpur. But, starting this 2020, admissions will be via NEET.
Well, the college was established in 2018, with the first batch yet to graduate. We do have our one year compulsory internship. We have health care units where we get enough practise. With AIIMS as a brand, I don't think one need to worry about future job.
To get admission, I had to first apply to the college by filling out the application form and then I submitted the marks scored in the bachelor's degree , then if I was selected, they would call us for an interview as a part of final selection process,
There are placements offered in our campus, the college prepares the students for these interviews, the selection process of the students is 80% on the basis of the interview they give and 20% on the academic performance of the students.
Admission Requires Degree from any recognized University in the Commerce Stream, i.e., B.Com. Keep self-attested copies of required documents when filling out the entry form online. Submit the form and get a copy for future reference. Applicants will get admission based on the final merit list.
The college does not offer on-campus recruitment, but the placement cell restricts recruitment on campus. It is responsible for regularly updating internships and employment opportunities for students. Helping students choose the best opportunities to suit their skills and abilities.
There are a total of 13 AIIMS in-country and you can already guess how tough it is to get into any one of them. Earlier, I appeared in the AIIMS MMBS entrance exam and managed to crack it(after 2 years of hard work) and then went through the entire counseling process. But, from 2020, admission to AIIMS will also happen via NEET as they tried to combine all entrance tests for medical college into one single entrance exam.
One does not need to take any tensions for job when you land in any of the AIIMS. Particularly speaking about AIIMS Nagpur, as it is quite new, we still have to wait for our first batch to graduate. Though, we will have our one year compulsory internship programme.
