Remarks

Yes, the college is really a nice place to be is what any student who gets admitted feels in the beginning. Later, when thought clearly, a lot of various things are observed and we can see through the flaws of the college. A lot of things need to change and they are completely possible if given effort.

Course Curriculum Overview

Overall, there were 8 semesters in four years. Each semester had 2 mid exams out of which only the best was considered as internal and after each semester, a sem-end exam was there. After completion of 5th sem, a project(minor/major) is need to be done in any of the interested fields a student can choose. Later, in the final semester a major project needs to be done which helps in understanding the industry as we need to move out and study. These projects and semesters results are considered for placements apart from other requirements as written tests/interview. Industrial tours were organised but it completely depends upon the students and college is student friendly.

Placement Experience

2.5

Our college offers 7 courses and hence there were lot of placement opportunities. Around 30-35% of them were industrial whereas the remaining were IT. Even though most of the students are eligible and deserve a job in big industries and atleast in the core companies, they were mostly taken into IT as the oppertunities were less in core companies and industries and the competition was more. Average percentage of a student in our campus would be around 75, there was a placement office and there used to be placement training offered by a group of faculty members. The recruitment drive steps are as follows1. Minimum percentage requirement (for few companies) - academic percentage cut off is compulsory for few companies. Those who do not satisfy get eliminated here2. Written test3. Group Discussion (For few companies)4. Interview5. Declaration and signing a tenure bond (for few)Few company names I can list1. Tech Mahendra2. Orient Cement3. Accenture4. TCS5. Bluestar.

College Events

4

There used to only one Techno-Cultural fest annually. The overal fund for the event was around 20 lakhs. There would be technical, cultural and also social events in which participants were invited throughout the country. There were events where participants need to compete with each like presentations, gaming, robot making(various kinds) and cultural events like singing, dancing and DJ.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's a govt college and hence the fee is very feasible. The college accepts only one mode of payment i. e through physical challans. There would be additional fee for library, hostel, admission fee apart from tuition fee. The college provides transparency in the fee- breakdown and also there will be records for tracking each payment.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college offers scholarships, the eligibility criteria would be the annual income of the student's parents. The average sum of the scholarship would be 15000.

Campus Life

The college maintains gender ratio of 2:3 where 3 is for boys. The college encourages sexual orientation and also there is a subject everyone should take named gender sensitisation which teaches about gender bias and gender diversity. Apart from my experience, I have never seen anyone directly/indirectly show any negative attitude/intension towards gender diversity.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes but it is very rare and it is possible only for few people and only on request. Alumni had effected us via inspiration but in terms of help, not much.

Admission

I had been dreaming of becoming an engineer and was interested in Mechanical as inspired from railways. So, after my 12th, I attempted various entrance examinations and got selected in JNTU via EAMCET which is a state level entrance examination for various colleges offering various cource.

Faculty

2.5

There used to be around 10-15 lecturers for our course out of which most used to not appear regularly as they had also other jobs to do apart from teaching. They used to have assistants who tried their best but were lacking in subject and proficiency. The professors had very good talent and skill apart from their educational background and experience but were unable to make time for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.
