Remarks

If you have this objective in life, then IIT is your best destination for spending four years of your academic life. If you are looking for a better job after your engineering degree, best would be the IIT because, most of the students get into core engineering companies, when compared with tier 2 institutions.

really want to answer this one because i faced the same situation as yours.I never opened my Books till 12th and started studying for JEE after entering 12th with a very casual attitude. Placement at KIT is decent . If you have have good CGPA and good knowledge of of subjects you can get a decent package . From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are various companies which visit the college for Ex: Infosys, TATA, Wipro , Josh technologies , Ambrane and many other small companies. Highest package offered is 18LPA. MY plan after the completion of the is to try for off campus for better opportunity and package.
