There is no bad remark any girl will enjoy the Miranda life miranda and after miranda.
I passed entrance for B.El.Ed. and I scored 25 the rank. I choose this course as I was always interested in this course and To be a part of Miranda was my childhood dream. I have seen this college from outside since my school time and the confidence and shine of Mirandian girls has always attracted me.
It included many aspects which was necessary for elementary school teaching. It includes sociology, natural sciences, langugae studies, child psychology and pedagogy of various subjects and many more. In electives I got my favourite subject mathematics the practicum was also interesting it includes direct interaction with student and concerned personal.
There was no stipend offered but the experience was good we were working with human beings the actual practicing teachers and young learners. I worked with various schools including private and public schools. I worked with kulachi hansraj, Cie basic school etc.Internship includes a 4 month detailed practice of teaching with primary students in government school and one month teaching practice with middle school and two months project work with young learners in pairs. Along with these compulsory internship there were many option to work with many reputed institution like mirambika , digantar, eklavya, work with Bala project.
Placement opportunity was not amplewe faced some struggles. But thankfully I got a good placent my organisation approached the college and faculty has organised a meeting.
Endless college events fresher's party to fest then departmental fest then dinner evening in college gandy study circle. Movie screening with reviews and reflections debate. Seminars out station trips. Theatre and music activities sports and nice day every wednesday activity period eyc.
Fee structure was feasible not very expensive. It is around 15000 per year including annual charges, charges for ID. They provide the resource room with reference material, library facility in addition to this a minimal charge as exam fee needs to be paid.
There are scholarship but I am not aware of those in detail there are scholarship from ugc, ajimpremji foundation, Udayan care etc.
Campus life is awesome there is lot of extra curricular activities we can avail any of these it is a women college. But all students from all college are invited and welcome to put up their views and perspective debates on social issues are organised regularly gandhi house is my favourite followed by sukriti the theatre group and music group.
There were limited seats provided to only those whoes residence is out of Delhi or far. But girls hostel is just next to college with good facilities and feaseable cost.
Miranda has maintained a good network of alumni and also organises allumani meet. The allumani meets are organized on grand level and invitation are published in newspaper allumani are also invited through mails.
Exam were well organised evenly distributed calm environment with all facilities no scope of cheating a good library services.
Faculty was good they were enrich in their subject knowledge and kind to deal with students although mine was the founder batch of the course so we faced a lot of struggle we faced shortage of faculty .
I chose this course because I have always wanted to become a teacher. The faculty: student ratio in this course is 1:10. Most of the teachers in this course have Doctorates. Others are in the process of completing their doctorates but are still highly competent and impressive. They teach mostly by lecture method. B.Ed is a course with an annual system. So main exams happen only once a year. But throughout the year, several activities and assignments are given. The exams are quite challenging, they will require you to study in depth and be on point.
I choose this course as I wanted to do BEd and it's related to counselling as well. The faculty ratio was 1:23. The teaching method was learner driven and the faculty was quite experienced. The course had yearly exams and the questions in the exams were based on practical knowledge and the difficulty level was medium to high.
B.Ed opens an opportunity to explore your capabilities. You participate in every field from academics to sports and sports to cultural activities. There is normally a batch of 100 students and thus the batch is divided into two sections. The faculty is well experienced in their fields and provide excellent support to train you for future encounters. Semester exams are being conducted and before every semester exam, internal exams are being conducted. The internal exams basically give an insight into the semester exam.
During the final year, students become eligible for placement. Schools like GD goenka, Rukmani Devi Public School, etc provides jobs to the B.El.Ed students. Package varies between 25-40K depending upon the student and school. Almost 60% of students get their placement done. I want to start the job.
There is no such provision for placement. Students have to clear CTET after clearing B.Ed. exam in order to get a job. They can only give a reference. One has to qualify B.Ed. with good marks and then qualify CTET or TET in order to get a job. Right now, I have given my first semester exams and during this course, I will appear in CTET.
I'm in love with my college. It has help me grow, be who I am today, and I'm proud to be a mirandian. Come around and you'll fall in love with it. Love at first sight happens here, be it the lush green lawns, or the pretty campus, such a beautiful infrastructure or the jolly faces around, each with a unique talent and a curiosity to learn and grow. How can one not fall for it already.
At last i'll only say that it is a good college faculty is very good . infrastructure is also good.Management is also good Overall It is a good college for me.
Our principal is always tell us that the teachers love is unconditional love. Teach your students with full dedication because teachers personality influence students. So, be a good human being.
For me, it was something I could wish to have in my college and I got it. From library to garden, classroom to heritage hall, flowers to trees, canteen to secret stairs, faculty to admin staff, caterers to support staff, you will be spellbound for always.
