Good facilities overall Good faculties and staff Good placements including core companies A lot of scope for extracurricular activity Tie ups with foreign universities Good festivals-both Tech n cultural Healthy mess food Good diversity Internship opportunities Entrepreneurship & startup culture Sports facilities should be abundant Good healthcare facilities Not so far away from my home which is in Bangalore Modern digitized methods of teaching Flexible credit system Large campus especially lush green

All very modern and well refined Lot Of scope in extracurriculars a lot of clubs / chapters exist which students can join Many hackathons take place to keep us updated with tech and industry problems Many hackathons take place to keep us updated with tech and industry problems Faculty in my school are very cooperative and friendly

Over 700 companies visit our campus Majority of them belong to the software sector, but there are also a good number of core companies which a campus attracts the rest is really onto the students to procure a Good placement

Clubs in chapters are many in number lot of opportunities to grow - they are of all sorts. Gravitas and Riviera Are extravagant fests in a college which enable students to showcase their talents in tech and cultural levels and also provide a lot of management opportunities for those who are interested to organize the fest. I have personally gained a lot from them

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

Admission:

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.
