Entrance Preview
I has taken CET entrance test in 2001 and scored around 3000 ranking. I was looking for electronics but ended up with Mechanical as my priority was to join MSRI the college environment was good, very experience faculty members and above all good placement facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
My stream was mechanical engineering i had take the below electives automatic control engineering theory of elasticity computer Integrated manufacturing finite element methods TQM.
Internships Opportunities
I did my last year internship or project at BMEL the project was on under-frame of Metro train it was good exposure to work in such a prestigious organisation.
Placement Experience
Plenty of companies came for the campus placements i too got placed in the campus I got offer from caritor India (currently known as NTTdata) in 2005 and my package was 2.1 LPA.
College Events
Kannada rajyothsava college fest seminar debate cultural fest competitions rock shows sports eventThere were many other events and really can't remember all at this point of time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I was on the lucky people to be part of the admission year prior to the fee increase I paid 15000 in the first year and 9000 per year for rest of the years.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship or loan offered to me by the college there were few benefits offered to backward class students.
Campus Life
Campus was too good and huge there used to be lot of activities inside the campus like seminar, conference, cultural fest and sport events there was a good mix of both the genders.
Hostel Facilities
Had not availed hostel as I was a native of Bangalore I have had food in the mess and rate it as above average.
Alumni/Alumna
I had a good rapport with my seniors they used to mentor and guide us i'm part of the alumni and do attend the yearly event organised that gives an opportunity to meet my good old buddies and cherish the old days.
Exam Structure
Semester exam for 100 marks and internal for 25 marks the used be hectic days but overall had a balanced time.
Faculty
Very experienced faculty many of them had experience more than that of our age many was very passionate professors the standard was high however there were few junior faculty who were not up to the mark.
