Remarks
My college is the worst place. The environment is bad. they manage the discipline with the financial pressure. they show free wi-fi but free wi-fi is available only for the hostelers. the management was poor. In the year 2009, the Indian oil's sitapura plant caught in fire but the college administration take late decision for our safety. luckily we rescued from that situation else i am not available for reviewing my college.
Entrance Preview
I took Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET). With this Exam, student who clear minimum criteria of marks, the college was allotted on the basis of rank, option form ( in that sequence of college filled by me), and seat availability. This is process of counseling through which i got my college. In the first round of counseling, i got other college (Rajdhani Engineering College) which located far away from Jaipur city and just establish a year Ago. The college is under construction so i apply for re-counseling. Then After i got RCERT. It was filled in between in the option form. I have crush with B.Tech and always wish to be an engineer. i choose computer science because i am curios about computer and its working.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the first year all things are new. In B.Tech, first year is alike B.Sc. The structure is good to learn with practical and it also give the great understanding about the practical implementation of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Internships Opportunities
In my college, there is no company came to take us for internship. out colleges not allowed us to do internship independently. They invite an IT company named SHAPERZ TECHNOLOGY, noida for our internship. Our college takes us fee from us to get trained. We do our internship in my college that was the worst experience. Even after training, we don't know the protocol of company, how they works and what they work.
Placement Experience
The placements are poor at that time. my college invite some of the companies from jaipur and NCR. Out of 120 students 15 students are selected. I am not selected. The companies come, developing their name. they offers from 1.2 lacs to 1.8 lacs.
College Events
Our college organizes annual tech fest, named PRASHAST. It is combo of technical and cultural activities in our college. It is inter college fest where students come and participate from other colleges also. Except that fest some of the fest happened that time was mughal-e-azam (produced by dainik bhaskar and it is inter college dance competition).
Fees and Financial Aid
At that time, college provides no scholarships. but the state government offers scholarships to SC/ST students for do BTech, the criteria for getting that scholarship is that there annual family income must be less than 5 lacs.I comes from Unreserved category, so i couldn't get.Except that education loan is availlable from all leading banks. the central govt offers that time to no interest during education if loan is taken from CANARA Bank. I dont take loan, as my father already planned funds for me after his retirements.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is poor in our college. it is about 100 girls on 450 boys. the parties are less happened thing in my graduation. i got party annual parties from college else nothing. the labs are good but their is issues of DRAINAGE in my college.in the discipline, our college is very strict. the campus ground is very small where we have only 2 choice either play basketball or play tennis.
Hostel Facilities
I dont get hostel as i get college from second counseling, so seats are full of our college hostel. I take PG and become day scholar of our college. In the first year (2009) the average fee is about 3500/- per month. (40k/year). The PG was good and the food was also pretty well. In later years the cost was increased upto 50k/year.
Alumni/Alumna
My experience with seniors was very good. they are so supportive and guide me a lot throughout the graduation. During the tech fest PRASHASHT i got the opportunity to interact with my super seniors. in short, my experience is great.
Faculty
The faculty was experience holder in the first year.The second year, starts with the practical training in computer science. The Faculty allocated to us, is not so experience holder. There are six subject in each semester of Btech, out of six, only 2 faculties are well experienced and master degree holder. The rest faculty are just fresher Btech passed out. They not teach well as they only clears the Btech. They improving their concept with us.
