Remarks

The college offer 13 undergraduate courses which allows us to interact will students from all fields. Also the college has various cultural and departmental societies which are active throughout the year. Each society has their own fest in addition to our annual cultural fest Aaghaz. The college is currently developing and striving to improve so you get a lot of opportunities to grow as an individual as well. The Placement Cell of the College is very active and strives to bring the best Placement for the students along with numerous Internships. Companies like EY, RBS, TCS, Amazon, Byjus, Bank of India, Genpact, Wipro, Jaro etc hires students from our college. For the session 2020-21 the highest package was 12.02 LPA and the Average Package was 4.50 LPA. The college also has an amazing faculty who are really helpful and expert in their field. Although the college lacks a bit in infrastructure, that is compensated by the Opportunities available The college also has one of the NSS and NCC unit in Delhi and also organise their own fest each year.

Course Curriculum Overview

In my first year we had corporate connect with Barclays where we went on several office visits and recieved training in their office. The Placement Cell also regularly organises training programs for holistic development of students. We have some of the best faculty in DU, you can check the profile of the teaches on the College website course wise.

All the details related to the working of the cell can be found at pgdavplacementcell.in Companies that visit our campus for hiring include: EY, PWC(Off campus), Deloitte (Off Campus), Byjus, Jaro Education, Genpact, Wipro, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of America, Ashai Glass India, Cevent, Concentrix etc. The Placement Process is very convenient. Students have to creat a login at the website of the Placement Cell and all the information is available on their personalized dashboard. Last year 280+ students were placed through the Cells effort.

College Events

All the cultural societies and department organises their own fest, including NCC and NSS. The annual cultural fest Aaghaz is one of the premium fest in Delhi University. For 2020, The college tied up with sunburn campus and saw artists like Ravetech, Zaden perform. All the major colleges in Delhi University participate in the fests. The Placement Cell also organises the Annual Internship Fair- Converge. For the 2020 session 50+ companies came on the campus to offer Internship to the students like Bajaj, Decathlon, LIC, Eat my News etc

Campus Life

The college has one of the largest ground in Delhi University. Facilities for Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football, athletic are available. The College also has wi-fi facility. The library of the college is well equipped with books for all courses and also has 4 fully equipped computer labs.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
