Remarks

LPU is the biggest private university in the country and known for its placements all over the globe. It is the best option for the students who doesn't make their way to prestigious IITs , NITs , IIITs. The admission process is very easy for the LPU, you just have to register for the LPUNEST, the entrance cum scholarship exam for the admission in the LPU. I myself secured 40% scholarship through this LPUNEST. Reason to choose this university over others is simple that it is the fastest growing private Institution in INDIA and secures top 100 rank in every aspect of NIRF. So just go for it... It is totally worth it for you and can change your life completely. It make students ready for the corporate world and make them industry ready with its industry design course curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is just according to the needs of the industry. It totally focusses on to make the students job and industry ready.Placement cell is really hard working towards their job. Teacher and staff is very helpful towards the students and give them the true lesson of life. Most of the teachers are graduates from the prestigious IITs, NITs, IIITs. They have in depth knowledge about their particular subject which would be very helpful for the students. Overall teacher are very good.

Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are very Hacakathons and coding competition held inside the campus through which the way of internship is seen. Internship is also very good. The average stipend of the internship is around 10K to 20K per month. If you have the knowledge you can make it easily.

Placement Experience

Student who score more than 7 CGPA are eligible for the placements and about 95% of the eligible students get placed in good and well known MNCs. More than 650 companies visits the campus every year for the placements and some of them are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, TCS and more. Last year highest package is of 42 lakhs per annum in MICROSOFT.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my batch of B.tech computer science and engineering fee is 90000 per semester without scholarship.... But you have many options to avail the scholarship. I Myself has availed 40% scholarship and my whole semester fee is now 54000 per semester

Campus Life

Campus life is just awesome... You will have a campus of more than 800+ acres...you will find each and everything just inside the campus. There is a mall we called it as UNIMALL, in which there is the GYM, CCD, ICE CREAM PARLOR, there is a cafeteria, gaming area .There is also the Olympic size swimming pool. Campus is like the foreign university. Just awesome

Hostel Facilities

There are 14 hostels in total inside the campus. 8 hostels for the boys and 6 for the girls. The capacity is more than the 24000 students. You will have the option from 1 seater hostel to 8 seater hostel according to your pocket. I suggested you to choose 4 seater because it is the best option and a pocket friendly also i.e 58000 per year..... But it is totally upto you... You can choose it. Inside the rooms you will find one geyser, attached washroom and toilet, one balcony, separate fan and tables for each student. There is a mess in each hostel which provides a good 3 times a day food at a cost of 30000 per year.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
