IT in this digital world is very important, and jis provide all courses that are required for industrial work, but more such subjects should be involved which are trendy in this IT industry. Our department teacher are highly experienced and skilled, they provide all the materials required and regular class.
Internships Opportunities
Internshala provides internship and also job to students which is conducted by our college, also college encourages us to do an internship and helps us to get an intern in some companies which are connected to our college, an internship is provided according to the stream of the students, and roles are offered according to their stream will help them to gain experience.
Placement Experience
The best thing jis provide to their students is the placement. The placement cell helps the students to crack the job by giving them aptitude and technical training 6 months before the placement. Many companies like MNC, start-up and product base best companies come to recruit with very good packages. Department teacher and faculty members support a lot to the students to get a job. But no company comes individual to jis college of engineering, all the different colleges of jis group sit for a same company at same time, students of 4 Colleges compite together to crack the job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many students avail the facility of TFW and also a scholarship for girls and minorities. Fees are little high compare to different private engineering colleges in West Bengal, but that worth it. Placement rates are more than 50%, many companies like SENSOR, ITC, ZENPACT, CAPGEMINI, comes in jiss group for placement with a great package.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the college is very good, great ambience. A big Playground where different cricket tournament and different games are been conducted. A canteen for all students making great help for students and teachers to have food inside the campus. Also smart classroom for students with proper lab with appropriate lab instruments. Hygienic washroom and proper drinking water.
Hostel Facilities
Big room with a given bed and cupboard and also chair and desk are provided, but the condition of the materials provided by the hostel is very bad and broken that too with no keys provided. Quality of the food is not at all good and people get health issues because of the food and very unhygienic. Same as the washroom very dirty. The only thing that's good is security and water facilities.
