    Reputation of this university as a college, it's excellence and updated syllabus, exam pattern, updated teaching pattern, low teacher student ratio, Freedom of speech these are the main reason behind my choosing this university.

  • HOSTEL FACILITIES

    Almost the whole of the college stays in hostel. Our curfew is 9:30pm and they are very strict about it. We have sharing roomd between 2 people and every room has an attached bathroom. We have didis to clean our rooms everyday. There is a common space between 4 rooms(block) which is big enough for everyone to sit and work together if needed. Theres wifi for every block. The wifi works well most of the times. when it doesn't we just hv to file a complaint and they fix it.

  • CAMPUS LIFE

    Sports facility in terms of basket ball court, a playground for multipurpose use is present. Carrom is available at Boys' common room. All time free wifi is available. Library building is equipped with lots of essential books of Indian and foreign publishers along with some antique books and journals, periodicals also. Our lab has 30 monitors for our GIS works.

  • COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

    Course curriculum is evenly distributed into 4 semesters for 2 years. Being a masters degree course syllabus is unto research. Faculties are renowned and highly qualified in their respective fields. They are student friendly.

    COLLEGE EVENTS

    Campus life is good. Lots of events with annual celebration in Ispat, Milieu etc. take place. Availability of sports equipment is good. Our university is one of the prominent university where political freedom is present.

Placement -

This college provided good infrastructure and faculties. Almost 50% of students got placement in companies like tcs wipro, amazon, etc. The highest salary offered 500000 per annum, the lowest salary of 20000 per month.

Life of a CU Biochemist

Placement -

As this course is mainly research-oriented, students completing this program are taught to clear PhD entrance exams to get into the research field. Placement is certainly not the first choice of students. But if a student wants to get into industry then an industrial internship during the summer internship program will be of major help.

The university is situated in west bengal. The transport system is very good. Trains are available in a few minutes.It is near my home & a reputed University. The hostel are beautiful and also perfect for middle class family.

Remarks -

Our university is good in general, but as a central university, I think it is not up to the mark. 1st of all, it needs to enrich its library's content. Again as a science student I will say it needs to focus more in expermental work, which is lacking, may be due to lack of financial support.
