I choose Cochin University Of science and technology for Mtech Instrumentation Technician beacuse of its good reputation, affordable fees, and experienced faculty, and better focus on core technical subjects. I also got admission to Delhi University, but i prefer CUSAT because it was more affordable and better suited for instrumentation and automation studies. I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More

CAT/CMAT/KMAT any of the score is mandatory. Out of all applications recieved, the initial shortlisting will be done based on these score normalised. Around 500 students get shortlisted. Then GD and interview will be conducted. Based on that final rank list will be prepared. 70% weightage is for score of any management test. Amd remaining 30% weightage is for GD and PI together.
