I was getting my preferred branch here only and also the location of the University in the city is really good. The campus is HUGE and the transportation system in the city is amazing. We have an app for the Govt busses which guides you which bus which bus will come at what time and which bus is going to your destination, so basically an OLA for busses.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course syllabus till the second year is same as every college in India. From third year onwards, you get to choose a lot of electives which are updated to cater the needs of new technologies. Industry exposure is done from the 3rd year onwards, but the college prepares you for it from the beginning of 2nd year. They have their own system where they cater to the interests of each student, be it placements in tech giants, MBA, GRE, UPSC, etc. About faculties, I can say only of CSE. There are teachers who are exceptionally good at teaching and there are some who are not. But as a whole I think faculties of all the major subjects like DSA, OOP, Computer Networks, DBMS are really good. There's also a FFCS system where students get to choose a teacher of their choice from 2nd year onwards i.e. 3rd semester.
Placement Experience
From the tech giants, Adobe, Amazon and Microsoft are regular recruiters. Others including CISCO, Deloitte, HP, Intel, SAP, VMware, Dell, Directi, MuSigma, Capgemini are regular recruiters as well. They come for varied roles ranging from Software Engineering to Business Analyst. Highest salary is offered by Adobe - 39LPA. Other tech companies mentioned above offer in range of 10LPA-to-25LPA. We have an active Entrepreneurship Cell as well.
College Events
We have an annual fest organised by the university called KIIT Fest. The scale of this fest is huge. Anyone can participate in any of the events they wish to. Those three-to-four days is a totally different scene in the campus. We have regular Mob events in the campus going on. There's not a single week where there's no event going on in some part of the college. The campus life is absolutely amazing. There are best eateries of the city just outside the campus gate. Trust me on this, if you come to KIIT, you won't EVER face food issues. There's always something new and super taste to eat.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are very well maintained. There are three options of sharing - 2 bedded, 3 bedded, 4 bedded. There is no shortage of hostel rooms. New hostels are regularly built as per needs. There is also a premium facility of attached bathroom which you can avail by paying 20k more per year. There's 24*7 electricity, water and internet in the hostel. Mess food is good enough. As I told earlier, if you come to KIIT you'll never face food shortage or non-availability or horrible taste. Taste is repectable.
