Remarks

Best college with amazing campus and faculty. You get an all round development in MIRANDA HOUSE and learn things other than the textbook. There is a lot of exposure in terms of curricular activities. Societies of the college provide a good base to build a carrier out of passion.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is revised every year and is updated to add new things with the changing environment and with new studies coming up. The faculty of the college is amazing. Every single detail of the syllabus is explained. The faculty goes an exta step to help us in doing academically well

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 13350 per year

Placement Experience

People have good opportunities in my course if one has a good lens to go through the good options. Carrier prospects in international relations are many and in abundance.

College Events

The campus life has been amazing. Throughout the year there are so many competitions going on that will never run out of them. There is good footfall as well. Annual fests are the best and very grand.

Campus Life

The campus has everything one needs whether it it is about good campus structure or about WiFi. The whole campus has WiFi. There ar sports facilities and is well equipped. The library is very rich in terms of books it has and has a huge space to seat students.

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

venky is one of the best college in south campus

Likes

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Regarding the girls:boys ratio, it has now become good. Earlier it used to be less but now has increased. In my batch, there are 84 boys and 48 girls
The infrastructure quality and the hostel amenities are very nice. You get all the basic facilities for almost free. The campus is huge and its very good.
We get a 24/7 working library, so no worries for night owls, it is closed only on national holidays, not even on sundays.

Dislikes

Regarding academics, sometimes lectures of some professors become to boring. Here also like all MBBS colleges, we rely more on online coaching rather than college lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fine. Here they prefer to rely on standard textbooks for better knowledge. And the postings here gives you very good practice and practical knowledge. Here we get to see a lot of complex and rarer cases in the ward.

Likes

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks
