The college management is great, their first priority is the students, their benefits and their carriers. On regular bases, the feedback was taken from students about the faculties and the facilities, and bases on that feedback, changes were also there.

I sat in the UPTU entrance exam, and got a got rank. Meanwhile i got my 12th results declared, and hence was meeting the eligibility criteria to take admission in the college.

Computer Science and Engineering department was established in the year 2000 and is now recognized as one of the leading departments with best infrastructure and facilities. The department offers a 4 years B.Tech. course in Computer Sc. & Engineering with the intake of 180 students per year.Mere getting a degree from a university is not good enough because it does not lead you in getting a good job. To bridge this gap & help the students, VGI has designed industry based curriculum to develop Leadership & job employability skills. The curriculum is conducted concurrently along with regular classes in third year and fourth year of B.Tech (CS, IT) program. Employability flavor of this program bridges the Industry-Academia skill gap so that at the end of the course our students are easily employable in the industry as per their needs. With changing scenario of IT industry students are also provided with in-house training on C, C++, .NET, JAVA courses through Industry collaboration so that after B.Tech they are ready for joining IT industry.

VGI recorded highest placements amongst all Engineering Institutes in Delhi-NCR. Vishveshwarya holds the highest no. of placements record in Delhi-NCR for three consecutive years, 2010-2012. We are proud to place more than 80 % of our students over the last five years. More than 85 % students are already placed in the current batch and the placement process is still going on.This year, more than 50 companies visited our campus for presentations and to recruit our students. The Institute’s Training & Placement cell (T&P) assists eligible students in acquiring suitable jobs/summer internships & projects. For this purpose, T&P maintains effective contacts with companies all over India and performs liaison work between possible employers and the students. The college also helps students in undergoing industrial trainings in reputed companies like BHEL, NTPC Dadri, LG Electronics, Moser Baer, Maruti Udyog, CMC Noida, Genpact, HCL etc.

There were few technical programs including GOFCA, technical presentations, Project exhibition. etc. Also every year, annual functions were organised so as to promote each and everybody to showcase their extra skills. Freshers and the farewell party were also the part of the yearly schedule.

The fees structure was very feasible at my time i.e 54000/- per year. But now the fees has increased. Now the fees are as below: 124500 INR 124500 INR 124500 INR 124500 INR for the respective four years including Registration Amount, Tution fees, exam fees, book bank, and other charges.

No, the college does not offer any loan or scholarship but i took the loan from one of the government banks, after getting the valid quotation from the college.

The college has almost the equal strength of boys and girls, may be due to the location being in delhi-ncr. Library and information Centre of VGI offer a comprehensive range of services to help you to get the best out of learning at our campus. Ground Zero Forum for Computer Application (G0FCA) is running successfully for past four year under the able guidance of DSW and Head, Dept. of CS & IT Prof S. K. Singh, teacher coordinators Mr. Davesh Kumar Sharma and Mr. Gaurav Sachan along with the student body elected every year. EATO is among the students’ societies of VGI running successfully under the able guidance of Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Prof (Dr.) H. C. Sharma.

College provides hostel facilities on campus for boys and on campus for girls also. Hostels have facilities like hot and cold water supply, medical aid, electricity backup, security, Internet access and recreational facilities etc. The hostlers coming from different states are also grouped together to develop a culture of sharing and cooperation. At present VIET have sufficient infrastructure to accommodate 1600 boys and 350 girls in an academic year.

There were many seniors, who kind of helped us to settle down in the competitive course of b.tech. It was due to them only, we were actually able to get success in a short period of time.

Every semester there were three sessional exams, including the Pre-Semester exam which was conducted to check the final preparation of students. Also 3 days a week, there were labs at the end of day, which according to me were very interesting and fun, as doing things practically is actually more interesting and meaningful

After getting a good rank in the entrance exam, i attended the counselling of UPTU, and selected the college. Then reached the college with all the necessary documents including the counselling documents, educational qualification documents etc. TThere i was asked to fill the admission forms, including a form for opening the bank account(OBC).

The department follows a well proven pedagogy of imparting knowledge to young minds, who are future of the nation. The department provides state of the art infrastructure for lecture rooms and computer laboratories. The faculty members of CSE department take extra interest to guide students in developing good quality projects. Many such projects by student’s right from the second year are trained to develop projects and they start participating in national and international project competition.
