My dad chose this college for me, this college is a Govt Autonomous college, situated in a remote rural area in Raigad, it is the only college for the students in Konkan region, College life here is tough placements are less, the college is a govt college hence there are multiple scholarships and the fees is nominal.

Course curriculum is well designed, but only few faculties are good rest are quite average, they prefer the use of Local language Marathi to communicate rather than the official language for education which is English, as it is a govt. College most of the faculty see it as a 9 to 5 job, some of the phd professors are really good, they have experience and they teach very well, but the ratio of permanent PhD faculties to the adoc contract faculties is very less, Overall if I may speak, the students should rely on self study. The course curriculum is designed very well but if u want to choose electives of your choice then you'll have to make your arrangements for that subject on your own, which is an extra effort u need to take, usually a elective is chosen by the subject teacher according to their convinience and every student is usually forced to learn that elective, the faculties call it "The compulsory elective" which makes zero sense.

There is a carrier development cell, which is common for all the departments. If u are in IT/CSE or Chemical you have a better chance at getting placed. The placement scene is less when compared with colleges in 1st tier cities like Mumbai or Pune.

There are many extracurricular activities that happen in the premises, there is a tech-fest and a Cultural-fest in every even semester. Other than that all kinds of sports are conducted in the premises. There is also a festive celebration of Shivaji Jayanti and Ambedkar Jayanti which happens within the premises.

Infrastructure hasn't changed a bit since the college was made. Hence the building is very old and not so good looking. There is a internet facility for students in the college both wifi and ethernet, but the internet is unreliable and is often disconnected when u need it the most. There are signal jammers in the college campus hence u can't get network in the classroom complex. There's an auditorium, a canteen, a big library and two atms inside the college premises which is a good thing. The electricity in the area is unreliable and often there is a power failure, for such cases there is a generator in the premise but is only used when a guest is arriving at the college. Monsoon results in flooding of the college road. Other than the college there are different hostels for the students for each year which prevents ragging and other malpractices. Hostel for girls are better maintained than boys, there is an in-time for the students living in the hostels which keeps varying according to seasons. There is a college guest house which is quite good and well maintained, parents of the students can use the guest house when they are visiting, rates are also minimal.
