Remarks

The faculty is good but the administration of the campus is far too shallow, Admission process was quite easy and there were second-year students around to guide the freshers. I looked at the official website.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I was interested in literature. The faculties were good and on par with other colleges and each had a different way of teaching. They encouraged new ideas. Exams dates were discussed with the help of students as there were people who were pursuing other things too.

Internships Opportunities

1

The annual fest along with other activities provides a decent stipend to students. However, there is not enough opportunity to help a good number of students. My internship experience did teach me how things really work and helped me get along with people while also providing opportunities to learn important aspects of teamwork.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no placemat cell for BA students. However, there is a placemat cell for PG courses which I would say is not as effective as one would like it to be. There were not many students who got placed through the placement cell. Students on the other hand had to think for there future all by themselves as the administration was hard of any help

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was affordable during my time. And the fees of SC and St along with obc background students was quite lenient for example the fees of SC and St were just 500 for a semester. There were opportunities like taking part in extra curriculum which was a way to get paid while studying and helped a lot of students.

Campus Life

2

The annual fest is conducted every year at the end of the final semester. The library was the one place that was peaceful and honestly helped a lot of students to catch up on their classes. I would say the sports activities were far less compared to other universities and students had to arrange everything themselves in order to conduct a tournament. The tournaments were not even played on inter-college levels which were quite surprising.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
