Remarks

Good aspect -Interaction and social upgradation. Bad aspect - Most of the senior professors are not concerned about students progress/ performance and their improvement. They are only focused on syllabus coverage. a) Passed the exam conducted by Tata Steel on organization level (07 April), b) GD/PI round cleared (25 April), c) Admission-04 May.

As my work experience was of Manager and I wanted to further enhance the managerial skill. Faculty Student Ratio - 1:10. Well Qualified and most of them have at least 10+ years of experience. Term exams were within every 6 months.

Placement Experience

No campus placement was offered. As we were under the bond of Tata Steel for three years. We were being paid with full basic salary during this period by Tata Steel. In addition to that, all facilities of Tata Steel was given during this period for example - medical facility, house rent facility etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had personally observed a fees hike of 10% almost every year. People who join by giving XAT the fees are almost 23.60 lakhs There were various scholarships. Aditya Birla Scholarship. Offers three scholarship of INR 175000 p.a. each to HRM-1 and BM-1 students, on the basis of merit and selecrion as per the company criteria. Pirojsha Godrej. Offers a scholarship of INR 25000 to HRM-1 and BM-1 students , on the merit cum need basis. XLRI Diamond Jubilee (Juniors). Offers two scholarship of up to INR 255000 each for first-year tution fees to HRM-1 and BM-1 students, on the merit cum need basis. I was offered no scholarship.

Campus Life

Ensemble Valhalla, the annual cultural sports and management festival of XLRI organised its theme launch event. All kinds of books were available (MBA related) and in abundance. All kinds of sports facilities like an ever-green grass football field, floodlight tennis court, basketball court etc are available.

Interview Experience

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visit IMS and pick students by taking exams and interviews. Some of them include Accenture, Capgemini, tcs, etc. These multinational companies visit and you can take your chance by qualifying exam and interview. In short, there is full placement in IMS and you will surely be settled after your course.

Admission:

The admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. I applied for the admission online and after my application was shortlisted, I took the written test conducted by the college which was followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus life was great too, we have a good library updated to a digital library, labs, counseling center, ATM, etc. The film society used to run film shows at the weekend which was awesome.

Remarks:

In college faculty members are not co-ordinated any curriculum activities. the decision-making process is very bad in the campus. Most of the teachers are the present unexperienced holders.

Remarks:

The college and campus were built on strong fundamentals that each and every student is important even though they are passed out they would still remain a member of the institute. Hence, my professors use to help us even after becoming post graduated.apart from that this college actually helped us to enhance our business tactics and encouraged our outcomes on the case studies and researches.
